A rash guard is a shirt made of Lycra or nylon used for various reasons in sports. They are very stretchy and fit snugly, thus giving surfers the ability to wear them under their wetsuits.

Information
The Traditional Rash Guard shirt provides two purposes. First it provides protection,as an alternative to the traditional wet suit, from chafing and normal wear and tear of the body in water sports such as Surfing and Body boarding. It also acts, when used with a sunscreen, as effective protection against harmful UV rays and the prevention of sun burn. A rash guard type shirt is also used in sports as an undershirt for uniforms and even wet suits. They are valued in workout situations because of it's tight fit and performance in moisture. -
