    Since his retirement as a player, Randy Wittman has served as an assistant coach for the Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers and the Minnesota Timberwolves. His first head coaching job was with the Cleveland Cavaliers from 1999 to 2001, winning 62 games and losing 102. Wittman took over as head coach of the Timberwolves on January 23, 2007.
