Randy Newman

Academy Award-winning singer/songwriter and satirist Randy Newman first found success as a solo artist with his second album, the 1970 classic 12 Songs. His last commercially successful album was 1983's Trouble in Paradise (which featured the iconic hit "I Love L.A."), but Newman has become a go-to film composer, contributing recognizable scores for films such as The Natural, Seabiscuit and four of Pixar's animated films including Toy Story, Cars and Monsters, Inc. Revered for his witty and politically savvy lyrics, Newman was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2002.
