Where's Randi?
In mid-February of 2009, Rhodes failed to appear on her Nova M show without warning. A message posted on the company's website by co-owner Anita Drobny refuses to provide a concrete reason for Rhodes' absence, but assures listeners that the company is doing everything possible to return her to the air.Radio Ink: Rhodes Still Off the Air at Nova M (February 16, 2009) Rhodes herself has indicated that she would prefer to move her show to a different broadcast company.Radio Ink: Rhodes Still Off the Air at Nova M (February 16, 2009)

Departure from Air America

Rhodes was suspended from and then left Air America following a live appearance at a San Francisco comedy club at which she she called Senator Hillary Clinton and former Democratic Vice Presidential candidate Geraldine Ferraro "f--king whores."
Early Career
Rhodes began her radio career at a Seminole, Texas Country music station at "Randi St. John." She then moved to Mobile, Alabama and co-hosted the "Randy and Randi" morning show. In the late 1980s, she entered the New York market and took the stage name of "Randi Rhodes", in tribute to Ozzy Osbourne's guitarist. She spent the next decade moving from market to market, until landing on Air America Radio in 2004.
