A raincoat is a water resistant coat that can be waist length or longer. Other types of raincoats are Trench Coats. A rain coat or jacket may be combined with rain pants to form a rain suit.
Today's raincoats are made of breathable materials, waterproof fabrics, and nylon coated materials. The coats must be able to allow air to pass through in order to allow sweat vapor and other moisture to escape.
