  • Rain Man is an Academy Award winning 1988 drama starring Tom Cruise and Dustin Hoffman about a man (Cruise) who learns that his father's multi-million dollar estate is being left to an Autistic brother (Hoffman) that he never knew he had. After tracking down his brother, he embarks on a cross country road trip to Los Angeles in order to receive his share of the inheritance. The pair also make a brief foray to Las Vegas, where the pair try to win money counting cards. The film was a critical success and went on to win four Academy Awards, including Best Picture, Best Original Screenplay, Best Director, and Best Actor (Hoffman).
