Rafael Palmeiro

Rafael Palmeiro is a former MLB player who spent twenty years playing baseball.

Rafael Palmeiro started his Major League Baseball career with the Chicago Cubs. He also played for the Texas Rangers and the Baltimore Orioles. On July 15, 2005 he recorded his 3,000th career hit.

In 2005, in the midst of the Barry Bonds steroids scandal, Jose Canseco wrote a purported tell-all book entitled Juiced, in which he admitted using steroids and also claimed to have injected several former teammates, including Rafael Palmeiro, with the performance enhancing drug.CBS News: Steroid-User Canseco Names Names Palmeiro denied the accusation, however he was suspended on August 1, 2005 after testing positive for stanozolol.
