Karadzic's Alleged Crimes
Karadzic was charged, along with his top military commander, Ratko Mladic, with war crimes, genocide and crimes against humanity by the International Criminal Tribunal for the former Yugoslavia (ICTY) in 1995. Karadzic allegedly ordered the killing of over 7,500 Muslim men and boys in 1995 in an effort, according to the United Nations, to "terrorize and demoralize" the population.BBC News: Profile: Radovan Karadzic-
