• 2009 Season

  The Highlanders finished the 2009 regular season with a 21-11 overall record, earning the top seed in the Big South Tournament. After defeating High Point University in the first round, the Highlanders edged past the UNC Ashville Bulldogs to reach the finals. On March 7, 2009, the Highlanders defeated the Virginia Military Institute Keydets 108 to 94 to take the Big South Tournament title and earn an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
