New York City events planner Rachel Uchitel was rumored to be the mistress of golfer Tiger Woods following a November 2009 story in the tabloid The National Enquirer. The Enquirers source was a woman named Ashley Samson who claimed to be a close friend of Uchitel's. After Tiger Woods was treated at a hospital for minor injuries following a car accident on November 27, 2009, the rumors spread. TMZ reported that Woods' injuries may have been sustained in a domestic altercation between Woods and his wife, who recently learned of his 'mistress.'
