Rachel Comey is an American designer known for her vintage inspired streetwear with a Rock 'n' Roll flair.
Early Career
Comey began as an artist with a sculpting degree from the University of Vermont. She opened an art gallery called Exquisite Corpse and then designed costumes for theater (the off-off-Broadway opera The Carbon Copy Building) and bands such as Gogol Bordello. Her first fashion industry job was with the design label Theory which was founded by Elie Tahari.
