About the Game
Race Pro creates an ultra-realistic racing experience using an accurate physics engine to reproduce a real sensation of speed and realistic handling of cars on the track. Cars react believably to the various surface characteristics of the different tracks. Previewers at GameSpot "were shocked by the amount of undulations threatening to to upset the balance of our car. And the more powerful the ride, the more obvious each and every bump becomes."
Players unlock upper-tier cars by playing through Race Pro's career mode. Initially, low-powered cars like the Mini will be accessible, while more powerful beasts with 400+ horsepower become available later. The game also offers multiple options for customizing the different cars, allowing players to make cosmetic changes, as well as tweak gear ratios, downforce, brake bias and more.
There are 13 official FIA tracks and 48 different cars, with 350 model variations, available in the game.Atari: Race Pro GameSpot: RacePro Updated Hands-On(November 20, 2008)
