Rabies is a life-threatening viral disease that can be fatal if not detected very early. The possibility of survival after infection is low.
Rabies is almost always transmitted through a bite of an infected animal. The rabies virus is highly concentrated in saliva making it extremely easy to become infected once bitten.
Common carriers of rabies are, bats, raccoons, skunks and cattle.
