Career
Stine started writing when he was 9 years old, but was discouraged from writing by teachers because he was disruptive. His first published works were children's joke books under the pen name Bob Turdis. He penned his first teen horror novel Blind Date in 1986 and wrote for the television show Eureeka's Castle on Nickelodeon for six years. Stine aligned with Parachute Press publications starting the Goosebumps book series in 1992 and continues to write for the series today.-
