Biden is the son of Joe Biden and Neilia Hunter, the Delaware Senator's first wife. Neilia Hunter was killed in a car crash in 1972; R. Hunter Biden was also in the car but survived. The young Biden went on to attend Georgetown University and Yale Law School. In 2006, he was appointed to the Amtrak Reform Board by President George W.
