Quinton Ross

  • Quinton Ross is a small forward with the NBA Memphis Grizzlies. He is widely regarded as an excellent defender. With his 6'6" height and above average speed and length, he is considered the defensive stopper for the Clippers. He is also noted for his willingness to do the little things that don't necessarily show up in the box score, which has earned him a starting role on the team.
  • Early Life

    Quinton Lenord Ross was born in Dallas, Texas on April 30, 1981. He would attend Justin F. Kimball High School where he would reach the State Finals with the team. He would move on to attend Southern Methodist University where he averaged 14.8 points a game.
  • Pro Career

    Ross would not be drafted in the 2003 draft and was invited to the Clippers training camp where he was the final player cut. He would play professional basketball in Belgium with Telindus Oostende. Then in 2004, he would sign a four year contract with the Los Angeles Clippers as a free agent. He is established himself as the defensive stopper for the team, often drawing the toughest defensive assignment. He would also earn a starting role with the team due to his versatility to guard smaller guards as well as bigger forwards.
