Queensryche

Queensryche are a progressive rock/metal band from Bellevue, Washington who formed in 1981.

Queensryche formed in 1983 and released three albums for EMI without much mainstream success. In 1988, the group released their ambitious political-themed concept album, Operation: Mindcrime, which was their commercial breakthrough and a critical success. Kerrang! Magazine voted it #34 on their "100 Greatest Heavy Metal Albums Of All Time" list. The bands 1990 album, Empire was also a major success selling three million copies in the U.S. to date.

In 2007, they released an album of cover songs and a greatest hits collection.
