Each faculty at Queen's University wears a jacket specific to the program they are a part of. The jackets are usually a specific color as well. Many students make alterations to their jackets to differentiate them. This may include adding patches, crests, or mottoes associated with the university or their specific field. Changes to jackets are traditionally not made until a student has completed their first year of study.
