  • Queens Of The Stone Age (or QOTSA) are a hard rock band led by former Kyuss guitarist Josh Homme. Formed in Palm Desert, California in 1997, the band released a self-titled debut before signing with Interscope records. The band's second album Rated R was a critical success but didn't earn the band much commercial success. It wasn't until 2002's Songs for the Deaf (with the hit single "No One Knows" and guest drumming by Dave Grohl) that they achieved commercial success. Their fifth album, Era Vulgaris, was released in June of 2007.
