• Golden globe and Grammy award winning actress Queen Latifah started acting in the early 1990s. Her film debut was the 1991 film Jungle Fever, though she had a small part. Her big breakthrough came in 1993 when she landed the lead role in the series Living Single. She wrote and performed the theme music for the show. She gained mainstream success for her performance in the 2002 musical Chicago.

  Celebrity cosmetologist Roxanna Floyd and fashion stylist Susan Moses filed suit against Latifah in March of 2009 claiming that she owes them for services they performed between July of 2005 through February of 2008.
