• Quake II is a first person shooter game that was released in 1997. The game is not all related to Quake, even though it shares the same name. The primary reason for this name is the difficulty in acquiring a trademark for a new title. Since the developers already owned the trademark to Quake, they just used that name. However, Enemy Territory Quake Wars is a sequel to Quake II.
  • Story

In the game, you take the place of a marine trying to protect the human race from an alien invasion. It is the job of the player to kill off the Strogg leader, the species invading the Earth at this time, and to win the game.
  • Single Player Gameplay

Quake II is like many other first person shooter games, in which you control a central character and shoot other creatures to advance in the game. The player receives a number of weapons, including a blaster, machine gun, and a chain-gun.
  • Multiplayer Gameplay

Quake II has a similar multiplayer style to the original version of Quake. The multiplayer version includes a deathmatch mode and cooperative modes. In deathmatch mode, you face off against each other and try to kill your opponents before they kill you. In the cooperative mode, you team together with a team and try to destroy the other team before they destroy you. The game also benefits from over eight maps, which are playable in all multiplayer modes.
