Pushing Daisies Season Premiere

Season one of the ABC show Pushing Daisies premiered on Wednesday, October 3, 2007. The episode was entitled "Pie-lette," and was directed by Barry Sonnenfeld and written by Bryan Fuller. The second season begins with an episode entitled "Bzzzzzzzzz!" It will premiere on Wednesday, October 1, 2008.
Season One

The "Pie-lette" begins with a young boy named Ned, who discovers he can bring dead things back to life by touching them once, and kill them forever by touching them twice. Unfortunately, he can only keep them alive for thirty seconds before something else dies in its place. Ned discovers this when he accidentally kills his friend Chuck's father as a result of keeping his mom alive for too long. Ned falls in love with Chuck, and the two kiss before she is sent off to live with her Aunts Vivian and Lily.
20 years later, Ned is a grown adult (played by Lee Pace) who owns a pie shop called "The Pie Hole." On the side, he works with a Private Investigator named Emerson Cod (played by Chi McBride) to help solve murder mysteries and collect reward money. He sees on the news that Chuck (played by Anna Friel) has been mysteriously murdered, and decides to take the case. Ned revives Chuck, but cannot bring himself to kill her after 30 seconds. The two are instantly smitten with one another, but can never touch or she will die.
