    Created by Bryan Fuller, the show premiered on October 3, 2007. Nine of the show's initial 22-episodes aired before the writers strike shut down production. The show was picked up for the 2008-2009 television season, ABC had planned not to continue the series for the second-half of the season. I wanted everything to look almost like an illustration."
