  • Push-ups, also referred to as press-ups, are a basic exercise that primarily works the pictorial and triceps. You can perform a push-up by lying face down, lifting and lowering your body with your arms. The push-ups can also be done standing upright against a wall. The New York times have called push-ups an "nn enduring measure of fitness."
