About the Company

It is important for a company to have an identifiable “look,” and Purina chose the red and white checkerboard logo. This is called “branding.” Purina Mills employs about 2,500 people from all walks of life and all areas of the United States, all of whom work toward a common goal - creating customer satisfaction. "A true American spirit permeates the company, which has built itself on our country's rich heritage," says Purina's spokesperson.
