Punch-Out Wii

Punch Out!! is a Nintendo Wii remake of the classic NES game. It supports the Wii Remote and Nunchuk, and can also be played using a classic control scheme. This game became a favorite of Nintendo fans after its arcade release in 1985. Some elements have been taken from previous versions of the game and added to the new version. This boxing remake of the classic NES game has players compete in boxing matches against a variety of fictional characters. In addition to standard boxing moves such as jabs, hooks and uppercuts, the fights also contain an assortment of comical moves, e.g., dizzy stars, twirling, dropping shorts, conking oneself on the head, and cartoon-like sound effects. The characters' faces display bumps and bruises after being struck. The game includes elements of real boxing matches including the rounds. Players advance in the game by either knocking out their opponent, knocking an opponent down and scoring a technical knockout, or completing the match and winning by decision.
