  • About the Game

Developed and published by Nintendo, the Punch-Out!! series first pummeled its way onto the arcade scene in 1984, just a year after the release of the soon-to-be iconic home console, the Famicom. Various titles in the franchise were released on the Nintendo Entertainment System and the Super Nintendo. There was even a special Mike Tyson's Punch-Out!! in 1987, and the series has enjoyed cameos from the likes of Mario, Luigi, Donkey Kong and Donkey Kong Jr.

Punch-Out!! features a few different game modes. For the first time in the franchise, players will be able to take on their friends in split-screen Head-to-Head multiplayer mode. There is also a new Title Defense mode, as well as a full single-player Career Mode. Little Mac battles his way through 13 opponents to win the World Video Boxing Association Championship.Videogamer.com: Punch Out!! modes detailed (April 21, 2009)
