Pumpkin Bars

- Some bars are covered in icing or cream cheese frosting
- Fresh or canned pumpkin can be used
- Great for after school snack
- Additions: Berries, raisins or nuts
- Spices: Cinnamon, salt, nutmeg, cloves
- Completely cool bars before frosting

Pumpkin bars are a dessert or snack that are often served around Thanksgiving and Christmas, but can be made and consumed year round. They consist of flour, eggs, sugar, cinnamon, salt and fresh or canned pumpkin puree baked, and cut into squares.
