Puma History
What once began as a small shoe factory between brothers Rudolf Dassler and Adolf Dassler after World War I, soon became two separate companies as the brothers split. It was in 1948 that Adolf continued with his shoe business which was called Adidas, and Rudolf started Puma. For several years Rudolf's family held the business until 1989 when they sold it to a Swiss business Cosa Liebermann. Today Puma sponsors a number of International Football Teams, Football Clubs, and Cricketers. -
