Psychic TV

Psychic TV is an experimental multi-media performance group fronted by transgendered performer Genesis P-Orridge.

Psychic TV was formed by members of the band Throbbing Gristle with the intention of continuing and enhancing that group's confrontational, over-the-top music and performance style. Live performance is an integral element of their creativity, and video is as much a part of the band's work as music. Vocalist Genesis P-Orrige has said, "Psychic TV is a video group who does music unlike a music group which makes music videos."

Psychic TV has encouraged a semi-serious cult dedicated to their art, Thee Temple ov Psychick Youth, which has led British aurthorities to occasionally view the band as a subversive force.
