PSP 3000

Sony announced the PSP-3000 on August 20, 2008. The new PSP, called the PSP Brite, will feature an enhanced LCD screen, a built-in microphone and improved video-out capabilities.

The PSP Brite features a few improvements on the PSP-2000, released in 2007, while still retaining the slim and light enhancements of the older model.

The image quality of the LCD screen has been improved, featuring an increased contrast ratio and response time. The screen also now has anti-reflection technology, which will allow gamers to play comfortably outdoors or in brightly lit areas.

The video-out port was added to the console with the release of the PSP-2000, allowing game graphics to be displayed on progressive TVs. The PSP-3000 can now output interlaced graphics, which means that PSP images will now display properly on non-progressive TVs as well.

The PSP Brite is currently available in two colors, Piano Black and Mystic Silver, and was released in North America on October 14, 2008.
