The PlayStation Portable Slim and Lite is a handheld video game console by Sony. Also known as the PSP-2000, it is a slimmer and lighter version of the original Sony PSP.

PSP-2000 Features
The PSP-2000 is 19% slimmer and 33% lighter than its predecessor. Metal parts were removed and thinner LCD screen was used in its design. In addition to being smaller, the system has been upgraded from 32 MD of memory to 64 MB. This has hastened load times for UMD games and made browsing the Internet faster than before.In order to make the system lighter, battery capacity had to be reduced by 1/3 of the previous model. Older battery models are still compatible. The batteries last about 4-7 hours and take take about 1.5 hours to charge.
The new PSP also has a new video-out feature which allows games to be streamed to an external monitor. Controls are also more responsive than the previous version.
