Key Comparisons
Though it would be impossible to declare a clear winner without having any specific criteria on which to judge, there are several key considerations that can help you come to your own conclusion. The Wii, for example is by far the most inexpensive and features the most innovative controls, but its video processing capabilities are the worst of the three, and it offers no High Definition output options while the other two do. For online gaming the Xbox 360 has the most developed online gaming network with Xbox Live, but the PS3's PlayStation Network is not far behind. For innovative gaming, the Wii stands alone: with its unique controls, it provides a gaming experience the other two systems are simply incapable of. Choice of games should also be taken into account; The Wii offers the most exclusive content (games that can't be played on any other system), focussing on quirky and creative games, and games for a younger set of gamers. The Xbox has the highest amount of games titles available. In terms of sheer power in technology, the PS3 wins marginally, boosted by its exclusive use of the Blu-ray drive. Whatever your criteria may be, it is important to know the differences before you pick which system is right for you.
