Google has launched the program 10 to the 100th, which will reward ideas that could improve the world and help people with a total of $10 million. The program is part of Google's 10th birthday celebration, which also included the launching of the Web site Google 10th Birthday. The $10 million will be shared among up to five ideas and will go to the implementation of the projects, not the individuals who submitted the ideas. People have up to October 20, 2008, to submit their ideas.Official Site: Project 10 to the 100th
Project Details
Google intentionally sets few guideline for the submissions to encourage creativity,CNN: Got an idea to help the world? Here's $10 million (September 24, 2008), but they are looking for ideas that would help as many people as possible in a significant way. Ideas can be submitted into seven different categories, but there is also an "everything else" category", because, according to the project's Web site, "Sometimes the best ideas don't fit into any category at all". Projects are then evaluated by five different criteria: reach, depth and longevity of the impact and the attainability and efficiency of the idea.Official Site: Project 10 to the 100th-
