The Pro Bowl is the National Football League's all-star game, played at Aloha Stadium at the end of the season after the Super Bowl. The game matches American Football Conference (AFC) players against National Football Conference (NFC) players.
Despite previously voting against allowing the 2011 and 2012 Pro Bowl games to be held in Hawaii, on March 6, 2009, the Hawaii Tourism Authority voted to allow the game to return to the island.CBSSports.com: Pro Bowl Returning to Hawaii After Tourism Board Changes Decision

Early History
Originally called the Pro All-Star Game, the first game was held on January 15, 1939, in Los Angeles. The game was moved to New York City for one game in 1942, then was discontinued during World War II.Revival
In 1951, the NFL brought the game back, changing its name to the Pro Bowl. The game continued under that name until the NFL-AFL merger of 1970, after which it was renamed the AFC-NFC Pro Bowl.In 1980, the game was moved to its current location, the Aloha Bowl in Hawaii.
Selection Process
Players are selected to the Pro Bowl through voting by the fans, coaches and players themselves. Each group of votes counts equally as one third of the total.Records
Merlin Olsen and Bruce Matthews hold the record for most Pro Bowl selections with 14 each. Current player Junior Seau is just behind them with 13. Quarterbacks have won the Pro Bowl MVP the most times, with 13.-
