  • Plot Synopsis

    The powerful Prizzi family of mobsters has their own unique code of honor that they strongly adhere to, none of which entails being a good law abiding citizens. One of the Prizzi family hit men is Charley Partanna (Jack Nicholson) who has been the long time boyfriend of Maerose Prizzi (Anjelica Huston). Charley decides to leave Maerose for Irene Walker (Kathleen Turner) while attending a mob wedding. To the world Irene is a tax consultant but in reality she is also a killer for hire. Charley finds her profession particularly endearing and they grow even closer. Issues with the relationship arise when Charley discovers that Irene has betrayed the family a major breach in the Prizzi family code of honor. Irene's breach of Prizzi honor throws Charley into direct conflict with the code of honor himself. What is Charley to do, honor the code and kill her, or honor his heart and marry her?
