• Backstory

  Presley, along with several other stars, started going to Dr. Daniel Serrano in 2003 for what he claimed to be "miracle injections" in the face. He claimed that the injections worked even better than Botox. The substance he was using on his patients turned out to be a low-grade non-FDA approved silicone solution similar to what is used to lubricate automobile parts in Argentina.

• Aftermath

  The side effects of these phony Botox injections caused paralysis, lumps, and holes in the faces of some of the victims. Serrano, who wasn't even licensed to practice in the U.S., was charged with smuggling drugs, and the conspiracy and use of unapproved drugs. He was convicted, and recently released from jail and is currently being investigated by federal immigration officials. Priscilla Presley is reportedly undergoing corrective work on her face.
