Prince William of Wales is the first born son of Charles, The Prince of Wales and Diana, Princess of Wales. As he is the oldest son, he is second in line to the British throne.

Royal engagement photos
Prince William and Kate Middleton released their royal engagement photos over the weekend. ABC News reports that two official photographs of the couple were released: one shows the pair embracing - the other is a more formal shot, with Prince William donning a suit. Middleton's sapphire and diamond engagement ring, which formerly belonged to the late Princess Diana, is clearly visible in both shots.
Royal Marsden Hospital
Prince William announced on the CBBC Newsround Show in March of 2009, that he plans to lend his support to the building of a Children's and Teenage Cancer Center at the Royal Marsden Hospital in London as a way to honor his mother. First Appearance
Prince William made his first public appearance at eight-years-old at the Llandaff Cathedral in Wales. He signed autographs and was presented with gifts from the local children after completing a tour of the cathedral.
College Career
Prince William entered University of St Andrews in Fife, Scotland in 2001, and graduated in 2005. He was the youngest British Royal to receive an undergraduate degree in Geography, earning upper second class honors, the highest academic achievement of any heir to the British throne.
Royal wedding date set
The Royal wedding date is set. The British Monarchy announced via Twitter today that Prince William and Kate Middleton will be married on April 29, 2011. According to ''People Magazine,'' the wedding will be held in Westminster Abbey.
Military Career
He entered Sandhurst Military Academy in January 2006 and graduated in December of the same year. Prince William then joined the British Army with his younger brother Prince Harry in the Blues and Royals cavalry. His future plans include working with the Royal Air Force and the Royal Navy to prepare him for his future role as King of England.
