Marshalling Ground: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Start with the three seeds nearest you, then use the yellow Power Plate.
- You'll reach the platform that initially sent you on the way to the Hunter. Use the yellow plate on the wall to return again in this direction. Make sure to grab the seed in the air as you fly.
- At the next platform, hang from the ledge and grab the three seeds that are hanging below the platform. Also, magic jump to the three seeds along the distant wall, then magic jump back to the platform.
- Once you've collected all the seeds around this platform, use the yellow Power Plate on the wall. There's one more seed to grab as you fly along.
- Get the two seeds at the next platform, then continue to the next Power Plate. When you see the Light Seed along the way, dodge right to grab it. This path will take you back to the Fertile Ground.
- Climb the wall here and use the Power Plate to fly back to the platform by the arched doorway. Move forward so the wall is on your left.
- Follow this path and collect more seeds as you go. When you reach the first hanging column, be sure to jump for the two seeds against the far wall.
- When you reach the next platform, go to the hanging wooden plank and turn left. Magic jump to the piece of wood along that wall, and jump up to grab another piece. Climb to your right and wallrun for two more seeds, then jump at the end of your run to return to the platform. This is the end of this area, so go back the way you came.
- Follow the path back until you pass the large arched doorway again, now on your right. Wallrun to the vines and grab the two hanging seeds.
- The platform to your left can be reached by wallrunning past the waterfall, then jumping right before you reach the vines. You need to start your wallrun at the furthest point to the left on the vines, which is about halfway up its vertical length.
- Cross the waterfall again and grab the remaining seeds here. There is also one against the wall of the hanging platform. You can get a good view of it when you reach the next platform.
- Continue along the wall to the fissures. Don't worry about the seeds above for now. Just keep moving to the left, then up to the platform above. Now, turn and take the fissures back along the wall to your right. When you turn the first corner, look up. There's a fissure, with two seeds slightly above it. Grab them before going back down and continuing to the right.
- When you're forced to descend back down, grab another seed on your way. Now, go left and return to the platform.
- You should have 40 seeds by now -- the most you can get with your current powers. Set a course on your map for Martyr's Tower and use the fissures on the wall ahead of you to start your trip there.
- Once you return with the Hand of Ormazd power, take the yellow Power Plate to get to a lower platform. A blue Power Plate is on the wall. Jump up and press Y, and you'll swing to the nearby narrow platform. Here are the last five seeds in this area.
-
Martyr's Tower
- If you're following along with us, travel via The Sun Temple to reach Martyr's Tower. This is a fairly simple path that you've already traversed in your quest for Light Seeds. If you've already defeated the enemy on the far platform, you can quickly prevent it from respawning by slashing the corruption with your sword. Otherwise, use the combo of B, Y, X, Y to destroy it.
- Jump from the platform to the first column. Turn right and roofrun, using the ring on the ceiling, to the next column. Turn left and do the same to reach the next column.
- Keep moving along the path, jumping from the walls until you can climb up to solid ground. Move forward and you'll hear a brief conversation about the Martyr's tower. Proceed via the yellow Power Plate.
- There are a few Power Plates to jump from here with some minor dodges toward the end -- nothing you can't handle. The Hunter will be waiting at the end of your trip.
- Instead of a fight, The Hunter will trap you in a small corridor. Jump on the fissure and progress down. Gripfall from the end of the fissure onto the platform far below.
- This area is filled with corruption. The ground below is off limits, and some of the corruption is impeding your progress on the walls.Start by wallrunning where a few chunks of corruption are sliding along. Jump at the very end of your run to grab the pole.
- Wait until the next corruption is out of the way, then jump to the wall and run to the fissure. Keep running when the corruption is out of the way, then jump at the end to reach another pole.
- One more timed jump and you'll reach another fissure. Keep moving along the wall, making one last move past some sliding corruption to reach a pathway up.
- Climb up and jump to the wooden beams. Follow them around one of the room's support columns, and jump across the gap to where one of the beams terminates. From here, you can magic jump to the wall and climb to a fissure.
- Climb the fissure, then wallrun to the right. Jump at the end of your run to grab the pole. Jump from the pole to the wall, then use the fissure to reach another layer of wooden beams.
- Jump across these beams and you'll reach a wooden plank that hangs from a wall. You can't climb here because there's nothing underneath you -- the trick is to shimmy to the wall on your right. Pull yourself up from here and you'll reach The Hunter at last.
- This fight with The Hunter is a lot like your last few. Deflect his attacks by pressing RT just as he's about to strike. Then move close and follow with B, Y, X, Y and X. Occasionally you'll have to tap either X or Y if he grabs hold of you.
- Hint: We'll say it again: Resist the temptation to mash buttons. This will get Prince hurt and make it harder for you to execute the proper button presses at the right times. The game gives you plenty of time to react in a fight, so always think things through.
- If The Hunter changes states and turns blue, the best strategy is to deflect an attack and quickly counter with your sword. Then, you can move in for a combo.
- Once you've defeated The Hunter, look around the corners of the room. You'll see a crack in the wall near one of them. Climb up to the second crack, then wallrun to your right, to the adjoining wall, to reach a pole.
- Jump from the poles to a wooden plank. Jump to the fissure ahead, then wallrun to the fissure that runs vertically. When you get to the top, run to the platform on your right, as the one on the left is covered in corruption.
- You'll pass the yellow Power Plate you need to reach, but there's no good angle on it from here. Continue across the wooden planks. Go to the wall and jump on the fissure.
- Watch for corruption as you move to the sliding ring, then along to the next fissures. Moving the ring will cause the wooden planks to rotate, so when you reach a wooden beam along the next wall, you can jump along a path that leads right to the Power Plate.
- Activating this plate will take you to a set of poles near the ceiling. Before you jump, make sure you are on Elika's left side. This will make the task ahead easier.
- You need to jump to the diagonal wall ahead, then jump off the wall to the next pole. It looks easy, but can get frustrating if you don't time it right. Jump from about the center of the diagonal wall and you should make it.
- Go from the poles to a crack in the wall, then climb up. The Fertile Ground is just ahead. Tap Y repeatedly to heal it.
-
The Windmills: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Follow the plank and magic jump across to the poles, getting the seeds along the way. Press RT to fall down, then turn around and go down the bridge to the Power Plate. This will take you back into the windmill.
- Take the path through the windmill. The seeds inside are easy to reach, just don't miss the one along the right wall as soon as you enter the windmill building.
- Once outside, go left and run over the gap. When you reach the corner, climb down the opening in the outside wall to collect some seeds. Jump down the second wall for one more seed along a platform below. Sadly, you can't get the seeds across the way in your current state.
- Head back up to where you first dropped down. At the next corridor, jump between the walls to reach an upper passage with more Light Seeds. Grab them, then return back down. You can drop at the next ledge for one more seed, then go back up to the ramp that leads to the top of the tower.
- Instead of climbing the wall with the rings on it, continue around the building to the railing. Jump to the pole, then to the slide. Grab the ring on the corner and jump to the platform where you'll find three more seeds.
- Keep moving around the building and you'll end up where you started. Now, go up the ramp to the top of the tower and climb the two rings. Instead of jumping into the building, drop down to collect the Light Seed below. Then, climb back up and go inside the room where you fought The Hunter.
- There's a seed on the opposite side of the pole in the middle of the room. You can reach it by climbing up the ring to the top ledge on the opposite wall, then turning and magic jumping toward the seed.
- Now, go up the wall with the ring on it, and jump to the wooden plank. Leap to the polls and drop down.
- Take the slide on the left, grabbing the seed along the way. Jump from the plank at the platform ahead to the column, then wallrun to reach the next column. Turn back and roofrun to get the other two nearby seeds.
- Go back to the column and keep moving forward. Get the last two seeds, and turn back before you reach the enemy ahead. You won't be able to continue that way without the Wings of Ormazd.
- You can take the right path to get back. When you reach the second poll, drop down instead of continuing forward, then magic jump to the platform ahead. There's a ringed wall to climb with one more seed.
- Once back to the platform above, continue forward, grabbing any other seeds in the area. Climb back up to the platform with the sealed door in front of it.
- Now, take the slide on the right side. Turn around when you reach solid ground and climb the wall. Turn again when you get to the top and jump to the plank, grabbing two more seeds above it.
- Jump back onto the platform and wallrun to grab more seeds ahead. When you get to the pole, drop down and take the slide again.
- Keep moving along the wall. You'll get one more seed in the process. Get ready to fight an enemy when you land.
- This one is changing states, too. Press RT at the instant it swings its swords to defect, then counter with X, Y, X, Y and X. Two of these attacks should finish the monster off.
- By now, you should have 41 Light Seeds from this area. You probably don't have enough to go back to the temple for another power, so set your destination to The Vale: Machinery Ground and press Y to see the path from Elika.
- Return for the last seeds in this area once you have the Hand of Ormazd. Turn left from the teleport point and magic jump to platform across from you. Hang over the opposite edge of that platform and drop down by pressing RT.
- You can then drop down from the outside corner of this structure, where the wall is broken away. Move to the left and you'll see a blue Power Plate ahead of you. This will launch you across the way to a high pole. Get the seed here, then swing to the platform below.
- Turn around and and jump to the pole. Swing to the second pole, then drop down twice. Magic jump from here to the platform, and you'll be able to wallrun to another blue Power Plate.
- When you land, run on the left wall, then hop to the right to continue your run, then hop back. Press B to grab the ring at the corner, then Y when you reach the next plate. This launches you to another plate and nearby seed. Press Y again to keep moving along.

The Windmills
- YouTube: Prince of Persia Walkthrough - Ruined Citadel: Windmills (Time: 10:31)
- If you're playing the game as we are, you should be approaching The Windmills via the path to Martyr's Tower. Jump to the column and roofrun between the columns and rings. Jump from the pole to the platform, then wallrun to the locked of entrance to the tower.
- Continue along the path with the narrow planks, magic jumping between the gaps.
- When you reach the platform with two possible ways to go, head to the left, where you'll need to wallrun. Warning: Some corruption blocks the path on the two walls ahead, so time your runs carefully.
- At the first pole, wait before jumping to the next wall. See the corruption ahead? Wait until it's about lined up with you vertically, and moving downward. Then, start your run, pressing B to use the rings on the walls. Jump after the second ring to reach the next pole. Time this last wallrun carefully to avoid the corruption.
- An enemy approaches. Block its initial attacks, then use B, Y, X, Y to defeat it easily.
- Use the plank on the opposite ledge to get you close to a running wall. Grab the ring on the corner, then jump to the pole. Repeat this process again to reach another platform.
- Climb the wall using the rings, then wall run and press B to reach the next platform. Continue on, using the rings to extend your run as you encounter them. You'll reach a brief dialog point where Elika directs you to the windmill. Make sure your destination is set on the map, and press Y' to see the correct path.
- Find the red Power Plate down a small bridge to your left and use it. From here, you'll have several jumps from the plates interspersed with rings to extend your run. Hint: The proper sequence, if you're getting stuck, is Y, Y, B, B, Y, B, Y.
- Now, you're entering the inner workings of the windmill. There's a puzzle here that requires you use two gears to line up a pair of millstones with the Power Plates you need to get ahead. Press B to grab on to the gear. The right gear moves the millstones. The left gear changes the speed and direction of the two millstones, with red making them move a half turn and blue making them move a quarter turn.
- Of course, we'll tell you how to do it. Move the left gear counterclockwise, then the right gear counterclockwise, then the left gear counterclockwise again, then move the right gear in either direction two times.
- Climb to the red Power Plate on the left millstone. Blast to the next plate, then to a ring on the wall, then one more plate to take you to another platform.
- Jump to the two poles, and the camera will switch to a side view of Prince and Elika. You may have to press right on the left thumbstick to get momentum. Jump to the wall, climb up a step, then jump to the opposite wall. Climb up again and jump to the opposite platform.
- The path continues along a wall. Run between the two moving pieces of corruption and press B to use the ring. As soon as you touch the the mill, press A to leap to the plank to your right.
- Wait until the mill stops turning, then climb up it and jump to the plank across from you. Use the small extending piece of plank to jump to the next platform.
- This puzzle has three millstones instead of two. Here's the solution: Move the left gear counterclockwise once, then the right gear clockwise twice, then the left gear clockwise twice then the right gear clockwise twice.
- You can now use the Power Plates, starting with the left gear. This will take you outside. Follow this straightforward path while avoiding the corruption on the walls. When you reach the wall with two rings spaced vertically, wait until the corruption is just out of your way before starting to ascend. Leap into the room ahead for another encounter with The Hunter.
- The battle begins like the last. Use the combination of B, Y, X, Y, X to attack The Hunter.
- Occasionally, the Hunter will change states, making it stronger. A successful X attack will bring it back to normal, or you can wait it out by blocking.. When the enemy turns from purple back to orange, you can resume your original combos.
- Again, only block when your screen gets filled with black, and be prepared to tap X after each combo. Repeat this process until The Hunter retreats once more.
- Hop over the wall with the ring on it, to where you can tap Y and clean the land.
-
The Sun Temple: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Grab the three light seeds on the platform. Grab the fourth seed near the red Power Plate and launch from it.
- Follow the plates to the platform below, then make a quick run through the arched gate. This is the path back to King's Gate, and there are several light seeds here.
- Take the slide on the left and grab the seeds along the way. When you reach the next platform, turn left, and do a magic jump to the far wall where another seed is waiting, then jump off the wall back to the platform.
- Follow the wooden plank to the two walls that lead to King's gate, grabbing on Light seed on the way there. When you reach the site where you once fought an enemy, turn around and go back the way you came. You can grab the other light seed by wall running from the fissure.
- When you return to the rectangular platform, drop down on the side near the two slides, and grab the two seeds hanging on a plank below. Now, take the left slide to get the final seed in this room.
- Turn left when you go through the arched gateway. Follow this path and grab the seeds near the poles. When you reach the plank, walljump on the surrounding walls to reach the seeds near the ceiling.
- Keep going. There's another pair of walls for jumping between ahead, yielding two more Light Seeds.
- Continue ahead. When you reach the last pole, swing and wallrun to the fissures. You can jump up from them to get the two seeds above. This is as far as you can go before reaching corrupted ground, so turn around and go back.
- When you reached the platform with the arched gateway leading to King's Gate, jump from the plank that leads to the red Power Plate. Blast from these to a faraway platform with more Light Seeds.
- There's a fissure along the right wall. Starting here, magic jump to the opposite wall to obtain one seeds, then keep magic jumping between the two. You'll eventually reach a plank that holds a somewhat hidden seed.
- Gripfall back down the wall. Take the path on the right and wallrun below the fissure for another Light Seed. Keep going in this direction to trace a path back to the Fertile Ground.
- After blasting from some Power Plates, you'll recognize this area as the place to wall jump between fissures and an intermittent column. Take this path up to where you originally slid down through the black liquid.
- Here, you'll need to wallrun to the left to grab the first Light Seed, then Gripfall down and to the right to get the other. You can also hang off the ledge on the right to get an additional seed.
- Blast from the Power Plates to the area where you have to wallrun and jump to the nearest column. Get the Light Seed there, then continue to the site where you last fought The Hunter. Use the Power Plates to get back to the arched gateway.
- Now, take the path on the right and leap to the first column, then the second one. To get the seed on the wall, jump from the column, then leap back.
- Follow this path while collecting seeds. When you reach the column where there are a pair of seeds on another plank to your left, crawl to the bottom of the column before jumping to the plank. Then, run up the wall to get the seeds.
- Return to the column and use it to roofrun to the rings ahead. Grab the last Light Seeds along the way and continue to the platform where an enemy is waiting. By now you should have 40 seeds from The Sun Temple. You won't be able to get the rest until you obtain Breath of Ormazd.
- Once you have this power, start at the teleport point and use the red Power Plate to get to the platform below. Turn so the wall is on your left, and move along the path. You'll find a green Power Plate on the left after a few quick jumps.
- Use the plate to climb upward. Dodge the obstacles and grab the two seeds along the way. The last three of this area's 45 seeds await at the top of the wall.
-
The Sun Temple
- YouTube: Prince of Persia Walkthrough - Ruined Citadel: Sun Temple (Time: 9:10)
- To reach this area, you'll need have unlocked Step of Ormazd from the temple. Set your destination using the map and press Y to have Elika show you the way.
- Starting from the teleport point at King's Gate, follow the path that Elika provides, or use the procedure involving the red Power Plates described at the end of the King's Gate section above.
- Quickly defeat the enemy along the way with a simple B X Y combo.
- Keep moving, climbing to the fissure, then along the walls and past a slide to the next room.
- You're now in the Sun Temple proper. Use your newfound power to jump to the red Power Plate ahead, then press Y to blast between them.
- The Hunter will impede your progress. Get close to him, then use the combo of B for gauntlet, Y for magic, X for attack and Y for magic again will do considerable damage. After this, the Hunter will lock swords. Tap X repeatedly to break free.
- If The Hunter sprays your screen with black liquid, hold off on attacking and block him until it fades. Repeat this process until the Hunter, now wounded, escapes to the fertile ground above.
- Use the nearby red Power Plate to blast ahead. You'll reach another platform, where the Hunter will try to impede your progress by summoning corruption along the walls.
- Obviously, don't touch the liquid. Climb up the fissure, and when the corruption slides down and out of your way, wall run to the next fissure.
- Move along the wall, between the fissures, while dodging the corruption. The only tricky part is at the end, when you'll have to run between two chunks of liquid when they separate, then press Y to blast from the red Power Plate when you reach it.
- Fly from the plates to the next platform. Climb the fissure, then crawl up the wall from where the fissure ends. Just before you slide back down, jump to the column behind you.
- Repeat this process to reach the next length of column,, then jump the horizontal fissure on the wall. Run along the fissures and the wall while dodging the liquid.
- This next part requires a bit of timing and luck. Slide to the bottom of the vertical fissure and look down. You'll need to Gripfall down the wall while avoiding all the corruption along the way. Start your descent when the first chunk of liquid is about lined up with you and moving to the right. Pres left or right on the left thumbstick to dodge the liquid as you slide down.
- There's one last bit of corruption to dodge as you wallrun to the red Power Plate. When you reach it, press Y to start moving along. After you reach the second plate, you'll have to wallrun and jump to reach the column. Jump from here to the two poles, using magic jump when necessary. This will take you to the where the Hunter is waiting.
- The same combo of B, Y, X, Y works here. Again, be ready to tap X repeatedly after this combination and block when your screen gets filled with black liquid.
- Once you've knocked the Hunter off the platform, approach the light and tap Y to restore the fertile ground.
-
Marshalling Ground
- From the Sun Temple teleport point, use the nearby red Power Plate, then take the path to the left.
- You've done this before. Follow the path up to where an enemy is spawning. If you're fast enough, you can avoid confrontation by striking the corruption with your sword.
- Jump on the fissure to your right and start moving along the wall, avoiding corruption as you go.
- You'll reach a Gripfall that requires you to dodge two chunks of corruption. Wait until the slower moving one at the bottom is out of the way, then start falling as soon as the faster moving chunk nearest you is out of range.
- Take the fissures down, and wallrun between the two pieces of corruption. Jump to the platform and then continue on the walls to a set of vines.
- Hint: When you're not sure how to position yourself, look for streaks on the walls. A white streak to your right signals how you should go from here. Wallrun, and then jump to the next wall before you reach the waterfall.
- From the vines, follow another streak on the wall to a platform, where Prince will make a remark about being watched. You can see a yellow Power Plate on a wall that protrudes from the platform. Get on this and press Y to fly.
- Dodge left, then right through the first set of columns, then right again at the third column.
- From the next platform, use the next Power Plate ahead. You'll have to dodge down, then up, then down again when you reach a set of horizontal obstacles. Dodge right from the next obstacle and you'll be clear to reach the next plate.
- Get on the next plate. The order for dodging here is down, right, down, right. When you reach the next platform, you'll get another encounter with The Hunter.
- The strategy here is basically the same as other battles. Deflect The Hunter's attacks by pressing RT, then follow with B, Y, X, Y, X.
- Achievement: If you haven't received "Hunter Special" yet, now's a good time. Just use RT to deflect The Hunter's attacks five times in battle. Press the button as soon as you see him lunge toward you.
- Once The Hunter is defeated, head up the nearby wall to the Fertile Ground and tap Y repeatedly to restore it. You'll get a brief cutscene explaining The Hunter's story, then it's time to collect more Light Seeds.
-
-
Kings Gate
- Press Y to have Elika throw you across the first gap. When you're across, jump up and grab the fissure in the wall, and use it to shimmy across to the next landing.
- Move forward. Follow the on-screen prompt: run towards the wall, press A to wallrun, and then press B to extend your wallrun and get up to the next area.
- Move forward and jump up the next two sets of platforms.
- Wallrun on the wall to the left, grip the ring on the wall with B, and extend your wallrun. Jump over to the next area.
- Once across, move to the left. You will need to jump across to the poll, and press A to swing off to the other side.
- When ready, run up the wall ahead, and press B twice to jump from the rings to the ledge above.
- TIP: If you ever need direction, press Y to have Elika throw a magical ball in the direction of your next destination.
- You will now need to jump and swing across two consecutive polls.
- Walk across the plank, and jump off right at the edge. You will need to then climb up the cliff by pressing A.
- Jump across to the next beam, and over to the next landing.
- Climb up the wall to the fissure and follow it to the top. Hold the LS up and press A to jump to the next ledge.
- Move ahead, jumping on the two beams, then climbing up the beam on the wall. Follow the beam to the right until you can no longer move. Hold RS to the right and press A to wall jump to the next fissure.
- Keep following the wall to the right until you can climb to the platform above. You are now entering the Citadel.
- Jump across the obstacles ahead and turn right. You'll need to get to the top of the tower that Elika points out.
- Leap to the column ahead. You'll automatically swing to the other side, but you can also move left or right to position yourself in any direction. When your back is facing the next platform press A to jump to it. Climb up the wall in front of you to stick to the vines above.
- Gripfall down the wall, and then jump between the two columns around the corner.
- Follow the path to the next wall. Run across it, using the vines on the wall to bridge the gap.
- Jump to the column around the corner, then climb up until you can see another platform. Jump to it.
- There's another corner to walk around, then a new trick to learn. Jump to the column ahead and climb to the top. Then, press A to perform a roofrun. Press B at the ring to extend your run, causing you to leap to the platform ahead.
- Continue to follow the path across one beam and to a set of two columns. Use LS to position yourself as you jump between them.
- Wallrun to the vines, then move left along them. Warning: Don't go too far or you'll hit the deadly black goo. Instead, climb up when you reach the cylindrical platform.
- Move into the room ahead. Finally, it's time for some combat, with your first encountered with the Hunter.
- This creature is aggressive, and will attack as soon as it gets close. Be ready to block its combos with RT, then lead off your attacks with either X or Y. Be ready to tap X repeatedly if you and the creature lock sword.
- Achievement: When the enemy is defeated, Elika will approach the glowing blue area on the ground. Press Y repeatedly to heal your first fertile ground, unlocking "Heal the Land".

King's Gate: Light Seeds
- YouTube: Prince of Persia Walkthrough - King's Gate - Location of all 45 Light Seeds (Time: 10:43)
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Now, you can turn yourself to the game's major diversion: collecting all of the Light Seeds. You'll already have one when play resumes. Turn to the gate in one corner of the room and you'll see glowing blue point of light. Grab it, then jump up the wall to the ring on your right to get the second seed. This will also open the gate.
- Beyond the gate, you'll see a veritable playground full of Light Seeds to reach. Sadly, the one high up, directly in front of you is unreachable in your current state. Jump from the plank to the column across the way and shimmy down, grabbing two more Light Seeds.
- Climb back up the column to where you can jump to some vines on the opposite wall. Climb down on one side to grab the higher Light seed, then move over to where the lower seed is located and Gripfall down to grab it. Follow the path to the right.
- Jump your way to the last pole along the path. To reach the vines in front of you, press Y to use Elika's magic while in the air.
- When you reach the wall above, grab the seed on the wall in front of you, then jump to the poll ahead.
- This part is tricky. First, use Elika's magic boost to reach the next platform, the sand will cause Prince to slide down. When you run out of ground, jump to the wall on the left, run along it, then jump to the wall on the right. Jump one more time to reach the pole ahead.
- Leap to the ground in front of you and fight the enemy that's waiting. Pressing B for the gauntlet, followed by X for sword and Y for magic, can often yield devastating results.
- You can converse with Elika after the enemy is defeated, but don't continue in the same direction when you're finished. Instead, turn around and jump to the raised platform on the right.
- The next platform will cause you to slide again. Ride it to the end and jump to the wall, using Elika's magic if necessary to reach the next safe platform.
- This part is also tricky. Perform a magic jump to reach the next sliding platform, then jump to the platform after that, then use one more magic jump to get back to safe ground.
- After you climb over the railing, take the path along the wall for more Light Seeds. Gripfall down when you reach the vines.
- Turn left and jump back to the column across the way, then jump to the next platform. Turn right, and perform a magic jump to reach the next column and Light Seed. You can climb up this column and jump back the way you came to another platform above it.
- Climb up the column around the corner, and roofrun back the way you came for one seed. Do the same in the other direction for the other seed, pressing B when you reach it to grab the ring and extend your run.
- You're now following the path back to the Fertile Ground. Keep going and collecting Light Seeds on the way, eventually reaching the gate you originally opened to start collecting seeds.
- This time, jump to the column ahead, then position yourself to you can jump to the left. Climb as high as you can and do a magic jump to reach the top platform.
- Go to the other end of the platform and wallrun to get the next seed, then press R to Gripfall down to the vines below. Move to the right, and from here you can wall run back to a hanging column for another seed. Continue to the vines ahead and Gripfall down.
- Turn left. Leap between the planks and poles grabbing any seeds you encounter. When you get to the end of the path, jump up the ledge on the right side.
- Through the opening to the next room, you'll see a wall on your left with a ring in the middle. Use that to get the platform ahead. Keep running forward and jump to the wall in front of you, causing Prince to Gripfall down the wall to a fissure below.
- Follow the fissure around the wall to the right, then down, where there's another seed waiting.
- Keep following the pathway down for more seeds. This is the way you approached the first Fertile Ground.
- When you reach a wall with a ring on the left, run on the wall to reach the fissure. Follow it and Gripfall down for another seed.
- Turn back around, and you'll see a seed on a rock wall to the left. You can grab it, somewhat sloppily, by running on the wall and using Elika to save you.
- Climb up the wall with the two rings for the last seed in this room.
- If the Ruined Citadel is the first area that you've chosen you won't be able collect any more than this. Set the destination on your map to The Cauldron area of The Vale.
- To collect the final seeds in this area, return with Step of Ormazd.
- Using your new power, you can now collect all of the Light Seeds in this area. Start by jumping from the courtyard's exit to the column in front of you. Rotate around so you will be jumping to the left, and perform a magic jump to get to the platform.
- On the other side of the platform, wallrun to the red Power Plate and press Y to activate it. You will blast to another plate with a Light Seed on it. Quickly press Y again and you'll blast to another wall. Press B to run between the rings, collecting seeds as you go, then press Y when you reach the last plate to blast to a nearby platform.
-
Reservoir: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Exit this area by activating four consecutive red Power Plates along the walls. You'll collect a seed at each one.
- Once outside, use the nearby plate to start back toward the reservoir. At the first platform, use the yellow Power Plate on the right.
- As you fly, you'll need to shift left, right, down-and-left to snag the three seeds in the air. Later in the flight, shift down, then up to grab two more seeds. You'll land right back at the launching point at the end, so it's easy to try again if you miss any.
- Now, take the red plate on the left. Save the yellow one for later. Right after launching from here, hold left on your thumbstick. You'll need to be on the left side of the next slide to get the seed. Then, veer back to the right so you can wallrun and reach the next plate.
- There are two more places to veer right when launching on the next series of power plates. The first is during the double slides, after you magic jump from the first to the second. The other is in the final tunnel as you approach the Fertile Ground. You should have 17 seeds by now if you did this correctly.
- Exit the Fertile Ground once again. When you land, turn and face the direction opposite the power plate. Follow this narrow passageway, which leads to the Royal Palace. For now, we're just here to grab some Light Seeds.
- Magic jump along the upper cylindrical platforms, grabbing seeds as you go. Stop before you reach the area that starts to look gray and corrupted. From here, hang from one of the platform ledges. There's another platform below; Gripfall down to reach it.
- Get the Light Seed on this platform and start heading back. You'll make a long jump down to a lower platform. To your right, there are two seeds next to each other. Line yourself up so you're in between them, then jump to the wall and Gripfall down. Once you collect them, magic jump back to the platform.
- When you get back to the area with the red Power Plate, turn right and head down the slides, shifting yourself right and left to grab seeds as you go. Hint: If you miss one, just fall down and let Elika save you. You'll be back on solid ground with another chance at the remaining seeds.
- Keep moving along the wall, then to the column that leads to a platform in the distance. Defeat the enemy here with a basic combo such as B, Y, X, Y, X.
- There are two planks leading off this platform. The first is the one you came from. The other leads into Heaven's Stair. Jump from the latter plank onto the first column, then slide down and face the platform you came from. There are two seeds down here, which you can reach by jumping across, then leaping back to the column. Climb back up and go back the way you came.
- Get on the slide to continue back. When you reach the vines on the wall, jump up to the fissure above, then move left for two more seeds along the wall. Go back to the right and continue along the fissures. Get to the next slide and grab the seed along the way, then climb up the wall in front of you, to that area with the red Power Plate again.
- Move straight ahead to the last unexplored pathway. Grab the seed above the first fissure you encounter.
- As you travel a left corner up ahead, look for a fissure below a set of vines. Drop down, then move to the right for one more seed.
- Go back up and continue around the wall. When you reach the passageway with upper and lower sets of weeds, get on the top set, and jump up to get a seed above. Then, move across, grabbing the Light Seeds along the way. There's yet another seed resting above the weeds on the other side.
- Use the bottom weeds to trace back and get the last seeds along the walls. This takes care of all 45 seeds in the Reservoir, and you should also have enough by now for a new power. Return to The Temple to claim it.
-
Heaven's Stair
- You might as well keep heading away from The Cauldron, traveling to Heaven's Stair via the Reservoir. Keep moving, with the wall on your right.
- This is familiar ground. Continue along with the wall to your right. You'll reach a column that allows you to roofrun onto a platform with a waiting enemy. Take care of it, then find the other roofrun area that leads into corrupted ground.
- The path ahead is simple enough -- just a couple of vines with corruption to dodge in between each. Jump to the columns, then to the wall, where there's a fissure in the middle. One last run and jump to a column, and you'll be at a platform with a green Power Plate.
- Activate the plate, then another one to turn the corner. You'll have to dodge gears and other obstacles as you run along this wall. Be ready to hit Y at the next plate.
- An enemy is waiting ahead. The combo of Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, A, X will take care of it. STRATEGY: Sure, that combo looks daunting, but think of it as two sets of Y, X, Y attacks, chained together with a throw and extended with acrobatics at the end.
- Continue out the other side of the room to the green Power Plate. You'll have to stay on the broken wooden path as you progress, and be ready to hit Y again at the next plate.
- This next room has four green plates, each leading up to a platform. Climb up using the far left plate, jump to the column near the wall. Leap to the next column to your left and roofrun to the next platform.
- Corrupted air will start filling the room. Move so the wall is on your left, then wallrun to the sliding ring. When you reach the fissure in the wall, slide down to the floor and go back up using the green Power Plate to your left.
- Jump to the fissure in the wall. Keep moving right along the fissures, then climb up to the next platform. Move to the left and wallrun to the sliding ring.
- Drop down again, then go to the green Power plate to the right of the one you just used. Jump to the column, then to the fissure. Climb up the wall to the next platform. From here, run right and wallrun to the sliding ring.
- One more to go. Drop down and use the plate on the left. Once on the platform, jump to the column near the wall and turn left. Leap to the next column, then to the platform to your right. Climb up and onto the next platform. The final ring is along the wall to your left.
- When you get back down, turn right. A platform in this room is revealed. Get on and turn the gear counterclockwise to move upward.
- Jump on the column ahead and go outside. Use the green Power Plate on the wall in front of you.
- Running here is harder than previous challenges, but there's little we can do to help you. Move left and right to avoid obstacles, and always place yourself towards the center of each narrow piece of wood. That way, you won't get caught on a broken piece. Use the Power Plate at the end of the trail to reach The Alchemist.
- HINT: The ledge here provides an opportunity to end the fight quickly. First, get the Alchemist backed up to the ledge. An easy way to do this is to actually back up to the ledge yourself, then block his attacks until he tries to force you off. Press the right button when prompted and you'll turn the tables.
- Start hitting him with a combo. Elika's magic provides the ideal opening. If you're still attacking when The Alchemist is near the ledge, you'll lock swords. Tap X quickly -- again, we recommend putting the controller on the ground or in your lap, then double tapping with alternating fingers -- and you'll send him right over.
- If you can't do it this way, resort to combos that start with magic. Follow with X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, X.
- After the fight, go to the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
The Cauldron
- YouTube: Prince of Persia Walkthrough - The Vale: The Cauldron (Time: 6:48)
- At the start of this area, you'll see a vine wall. Climb up and over to safely reach the next platform, then wallrun and use the fissures and vines to move ahead.
- Eventually, you'll reach some vines that will take you higher in altitude.. Climb them and wallrun to the next platform. When you reach a fork in the path, go left to enter the Vale.
- Follow Elika's instructions and climb the vines on the left. The Alchemist will flood the area, adding a sense of urgency to your mission.
- Keep moving forward. You'll slide down some paths, climb more vines and vault some wooden beams, but nothing complicated.
- When you reach the spiked columns, it's time to roofrun. Press A to walk on the ceiling between them. Roofrun again to the ring on the ceiling and press B to swing yourself up to the next platform.
- The ground rises. Keep jumping across the platforms When you reach the wall again, climb up it to the wooden beam, then get on top and jump to next piece of solid ground. Hop onto the slide, then to the wall to reach your introduction to the Alchemist.
- This guy uses a pretty straightforward set of combo attacks. Block them, then lead with either magic or gauntlet. You can bet more mileage out of your combos by pressing A to follow with an acrobatic move, then pressing X or Y to move in with your sword or Elika's magic. Keep doing this until you fend off this boss.
-
The Cauldron: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- You can now start collecting Light Seeds in this area. Grab the first four on your current platform, then jump to the weeds and climb down. Keep descending and collecting seeds along the way.
- When you reach the bottom, grab all the seeds in the circular area of platforms and walls. Don't forget to jump up and get the one above the vines along the far wall.
- Head off to the tunnel that has what looks like a giant broken fan inside. When you reach the second red fissure, magic jump and you'll reach an alcove with two more Light Seeds.
- Jump back across to the fissure and keep moving through the tunnel and along the wall on the right, collecting two more seeds as you go. When you get to the vines, climb up the ledge and fight the enemy that's waiting. The combination of B, X and Y works well.
- Follow the cliff edge to another wall. Run along it to the next Light Seed, and then continue to the next fissure. Drop down, and move to the right to go back the way you came.
- Now, head in the other direction. Grab the three seeds along the wall, but also jump above the vines to get one more seed on the platform above.
- Continue to the next platform. Around the corner to your right, climb the vine wall. Keep following this path. When you get to a vine wall with a seed in front of it, first grab the seed that's along a path to the right, then return to climb the wall.
- Keep moving along this path. When you get to the two spiked columns, jump to the first, then rotate so your back is facing away from the wall. Do a magic jump to reach another column, then a small alcove for two seeds.
- Go back to the first set of spiked columns, then return from the way you came.
- When you return to the area near the tall weeded wall, enter the room on the right, with the two branching paths.
- Start by going to the left. There's a fairly straightforward pathway with some seeds here. Use the rings to get the seeds on one side, and a wallrun followed by a magic jump to get one on the other side.
- Hop down the small platform, then along the walls for three more seeds.
- Go back the way you came, and take the other fork in the path. You can grab the first seed that's high along the left wall by getting on the railing and jumping to the wall, then jumping off the wall back on the platform.
- This part is also straightforward. Follow the path back the King's Gate area of the Citadel, collecting seeds along the way.
- There is one hidden seed to watch for on this path. When you reach a large, circular platform, dangle yourself along the edge and shimmy until you see the seed on the other side. Stand above it and gripfall down to the fissure below, then jump back up to the platform.
- Be sure to continue in this direction until you hit the weeds that take you around a cylindrical wall and down to the King's Gate area. The last seed to get is up on these weeds.
- If in this area you've attained at least 60 seeds total, return to The Temple to unlock a new power. Hint: you can skip there automatically by pressing Back for the map, moving the cursor to the temple and pressing Y to teleport.
- Return here for the last bunch of Light Seeds when you've acquired Breath of Ormazd. Climb down the vines from the Fertile Ground and take the path that curves around to the right.
- Before you get to the next room, climb up the wooden wall to your right. Cross the beam to the next platform and look over the edge on the left side. You'll see a plank below that you can reach by Gripfalling.
- Once you're on the plank, jump to the green Power Plate that's inside a depression in the wall. When you hit the second plate, be ready to dodge to the left right away, then veer back to the middle.
- You'll reach an elevated platform with five Light Seeds. Grab them and slide down the wall on your left. This takes care of all 45 seeds for this area.
-
Machinery Ground
- YouTube: Prince of Persia Walkthrough - The Vale: Machinery Ground (Time: 9:57)
- If you're following along with us, you'll be approaching this area via the Martyr's Tower section of the Ruined Citadel. After you defeat the enemy on the platform, magic jump to the pole ahead. Time your jump from the pole just after the corruption in the distance slides out of the way, so you'll miss it as you grab the ring on the wall.
- When you reach the next pole, time your jump again to avoid the corruption. Keep heading straight, up a wall and across a set of poles that are a magic jump apart.
- Continue to follow the path set by Elika. It's fairly straightforward from here to the Machinery Ground except for one tricky spot in the middle, where there are three corrupted to dodge while wallrunning. Time your run to avoid the first two, then jump to the other wall. Do a magic jump just before you hit the last corrupted and you'll safely reach the platform ahead.
- After one long magic jump, you'll reach the Machinery Ground. After a brief cutscene, use the red Power Plate right in front of you. Grab the ring, then blast from two more plates to reach another encounter with The Alchemist.
- Achievement: There are several pillars in this arena. If you can line up one of your combos to send The Alchemist through one, you'll get "The Improviser."
- Achievement: You can also get "Alchemist Special" by refraining from acrobatic attacks (or, the A button) during this battle.
- The Alchemist will start changing forms for this battle. Deflect his attacks by pressing RT as he lunges, then follow with a sword strike to change him back to his normal red hue. An effective combo here is the simple X, Y, X, Y juggle.
- Like The Hunter, you'll want to be ready to mash the X button when The Alchemist grabs on to you. He's even tougher than The Hunter in this regard, so you may want to place the controller on a flat surface when this happens and use your index finger for quick tapping.
- After a few effective combos, The Alchemist will retreat, but not before infecting you with a bit of corruption. It looks bad, but you still have all your abilities.
- Find the lower platform, and go down to the wall with rings on it. Climb up to the wooden plank, jump to the next wall of rings, then move to the weeds. Wall run to the next platform.
- A rotating object looks intimidating ahead, but it's also got a surprise. Once it stops moving, you need to jump through the opening, otherwise the corruption below will suck you in.
- Continue along the wall. After you run past the second ring, jump to the pole. Keep moving along this path.
- Don't be scared by the rotating wheel ahead. It will stop once you reach the sliding ring in front of it. Just hold left on the thumbstick to keep moving.
- Climb up the vines and the rings. Dodge the corruption as you run along the wall, and this time hold right as you extend your run past the spinning wheel.
- Jump to the plank, then the column. Roofrun through this area, taking you up to some vines. Make sure you're lined up with the next ring before wallrunning again.
- Run and jump to the next column, then roofrun again between the rings. When you run out of rings, simply let Prince land to the pole below. Magic jump to the wall, then grab the ring to swing to the column. From here, you can jump safely to a piece of ground.
- Wallrun along the two rings ahead, then around the corner to reach the fissure. Slide down and drop on the wooden plank (remember, press RT to drop) and continue to the next platform. Take the ring around the corner to a set of vines.
- Follow this up and to the right. Line up with the ring on the corner and run around to another ring. You'll run through another giant grinder, reaching a pole.
- Continue along the planks, magic jumping to the wall ahead. You'll need to Gripfall down here and press B to grab the ring as you get to the bottom. Extend your roofrun with B along the underbelly of this platform, so you swing back up the other side.
- Climb up to the top of the platform and run to the Fertile Ground. Press Y' repeatedly to transform the land. Fortunately, this has cleaned Prince of corruption.
-
Machinery Ground: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Achievement: First things first, run to the wooden plank that extends from this platform to get "Titanic View".
- There are four seeds on this platform. Don't launch from the red Power Plate after getting them. Instead go to the side of the platform that you came from, and look down over the side. You'll see a seed hanging above one of the planks along the wall. Gripfall down, then continue on to the wall.
- As you slide down the wall, you'll see another seed directly below. You'll actually have to drop off the wall and let Elika save you to get this one. Back at the platform, climb down the wall again and roofrun around the underside of the platform for one more Light Seed.
- Return to the Power Plate and blast until you reach a faraway platform. Start with the path that runs to the right when facing the wall.
- Follow this easy climb and collect light seeds as you go. Don't forget to jump up from the vines to reach one resting higher up.
- Turn left at the next platform and magic jump to the far wall. Keep following this path. You can get the two light seeds that rest along one of the rock walls by magic jumping there, then running up and magic jumping to get back to the platform.
- Collect any more seeds in your general area, then turn back. Take the path back until you see a red Power Plate along the wall to your left. Ride this to the large square platform.
- First, go to the corner of the platform that faces a sole wooden panel with an inactive blue Power Plate on it. By your feet, there's a bit of red paint, signaling that you can drop down the wall here for something good. Be prepared to press B as you reach the bottom of the wall to swing around.
- You'll land on a wooden plank and a Light Seed. Move forward to grab the other seed up ahead, then use the red Power Plate to return to where you landed after launching from the Fertile Ground. Take this path back to the large square platform.
- Along the nearest wall, there's a Light Seed on top of a beam. Jump on here and continue climbing the wall on the right. You are now on the path back to the Fertile Ground. Follow this and collect Light Seeds along the way.
- Of note along this path are two red beams in a row. Along the wall next to one of them are two rings, which you can climb up and magic jump from to reach a platform that seems to be hanging in the sky. Get the seed on this platform, and the other one near it, before returning to the path.
- Take this path all the way back to the Fertile Ground and use the Power Plates to get back to the platform that splits off in three directions. This time, take the middle path that extends opposite the wall.
- Get the seed below the first wooden plank. Follow the path, and take the slides on the left side first.
- Defeat the enemy on the platform ahead. The usual B, Y, X, Y, X combo works well.
- Take the other set of slides to exit this area. When you reach the set of vines on the wall, drop down. There's a lower set of vines that you can climb around to the left to get a few more light seeds.
- Go back to the Power Plate landing point and turn left. Follow this path for more light seeds. Don't forget to climb the rings on the wall to your right early on for the seed above.
- Stop short of reaching the enemy on the next platform. By now you should have 39 Light Seeds, and more than enough for a new power. Return to The Temple, where we'll unlock Wings of Ormazd.
- Come back here once you have Hand of Ormazd. Use the red Power Plate near the teleport point, then turn around and follow the pathway down to another red plate. Blast on these until you reach a large square platform.
- A blue plate can be seen on the nearest wall. Jump to the nearby platform, then wallrun to reach it. Press Y to activate the plate, causing you to swing to another plate. Activate this one as well, and you'll land back on the square platform with the last four Light Seeds in this area.
-
Reservoir
- YouTube: Prince of Persia Walkthrough - The Vale: Reservoir (Time: 10:41)
- From The Cauldron, head down the column of weeds in front of you. Follow Elika's guide to the tunnel, along the path until you reach a platform where an enemy is spawning. Do away with it quickly by slashing quickly with X.
- Jump between the two walls on the back side of this platform. Keep an eye out for a fissure on the left side that extends further off to the left. Take this path to bring you further into The Vale.
- After a series of jumps along fissures, you'll reach a clearing. Take the path on the right. Jump along the polls, and do a magic jump to reach the wall, then leap to the next pole and onto the platform that follows.
- There's more corruption to avoid up ahead. You'll need to time your wallrun to avoid two separate pieces. Make the jump when the closer piece is just crossing your path and the further piece is just about to cross.
- Two more bits of corruption are guarding a ringed wall. Use the same strategy for timing this jump.
- An enemy is waiting on the next platform, but it's nothing you haven't handled before. Deflect, then use the sword if the monster changes states. Follow with a combo of acrobatics or gauntlet, followed by alternating magic and sword.
- Continue along the walls, moving left. Hang on the weeds while timing your wallruns to avoid corruption. The first ones are easy. The second is a little difficult to judge from your angle -- just wait until it moves below your trajectory. Once you get through, grab the ring on the corner to swing around, then jump to the next platform.
- Move along the wall. At the platform with a sailor's wheel imprinted on the it, take the path that branches to the left. Run along the wall and activate the red Power Plate.
- This section requires some quick thinking as you activate a series of red plates on your way to the Fertile Ground. Mostly, you'll need to press Y as you hit each plate, but there are a few slides, wallruns and magic jumps to complete as well. You'll get a decent amount of time to react, just be mindful of the two slides towards the end, which require a magic jump between each.
- The Alchemist awaits at the end of your trip. Like The Hunter, he'll try to perform quick draw attacks to knock you off your feet, then you'll have one last chance to save your life by hitting the right button when prompted. Keep your cool and be ready for these situations by refraining from button mashing.
- He'll also periodically change states, making him stronger and blocking most of your moves. When he turns black, press RT during his attacks, then bring him back to normal with a magic (Y) attack. If he turns blue, deflect and counter with your sword.
- His black form can be an opportunity, as magic is the start of a very effective combo for The Alchemist. Lead with Y, then follow with X, then Y again. Continue the combo by pressing B' to juggle your foe into the air, then strike again with Y, X, Y and, if you can, another B
- Warning: want to shorten these combos if you're nearing the outside of the arena, as The Alchemist can quickly turn the tables on you and sink you into the corruption.
- Another Warning: Don't use magic against The Alchemist when he is glowing blue. He'll knock Elika down, and you won't be able to use her unless you stand near her and press Y or wait until she revives on her own.
- Once The Alchemist is defeated, stand on the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
#Construction Yard: Light Seeds
- Light Seeds: 45
- Start by activating the yellow Power Plate. This is a simple flight that takes you around the yard and back. There are five Light Seeds along the way. You can use the plate as many times as you need to get them all.
- Go back to the underside of the four rotating platforms. Grab the seeds along the way, then use the ringed wall to get back up to the bottom left platform.
- Grab the seed on this platform, then jump to the top left platform. Rotate the gear clockwise once to rotate all of the platforms, and grab the seed thats now right next to you.
- Return to the top left platform and rotate the gear counterclockwise once. Go to the bottom left platform and rotate the gear counterclockwise once.
- Jump to the bottom right platform and grab the seed there. Rotate the gear clockwise twice, and you'll be able to reach another platform to the right of the rotating platform grid. Jump here and get the two seeds.
- Return to the plank that leads you to these platforms. You'll have to rotate your current platform two times in either direction to secure passage. When you get to this plank, drop down to the right for one more seed on the opposite side of the ringed wall if you haven't done so already.
- Jump down from the wall, then up the other nearby ringed wall to a raised platform. Get the seed here and hope across the gap on the pole for one more. Drop down the other side, then turn and use the green Power Plate on the wall that you first took to reach the Fertile Ground.
- There's just one seed here, and you can grab it after you activate the second plate. Go back over the raised platform and drop down again.
- Start with the path to your right. Run on the walls until you reach some vines on a floating platform. Descend to get the seed below, then press B at the ring to climb back up. Hop up and over the railing of the platform, then turn left. A slightly lower platform holds two more seeds.
- From here you can slide down the wall to your left and continue along the path. Drop from the first pole and turn around. Jump to the wall, grabbing the seed, and climb back up to the platform. Now, you can jump along the top poles.
- Continue along this path until you reach the extending platform with a seed slightly below it. Hang down to get it, then turn back. Go all the way to the Construction Yard entrance and start heading back to The Cauldron.
- There are several seeds here, and most of them are pretty simple to get. Just follow the path as you normally would. The only thing to watch for are two seeds that hang below the far platform. Gripfall down to get them, then shimmy to the left and follow the fissure back up. Be sure to get the last seed on that far platform before returning to the yard.
- Now, follow the path on the right. Jump from the poles to the wooden plank, and climb up the wooden column next to it to get another seed. Magic jump to the running wall and keep moving forward.
- When you reach the vines on the wall to your right, look up. You can jump to a ring and climb up it for two more seeds.
- From the upper vines, wall jump to the opposite wooden board for another seed, then back to the vines on the other side. Drop down, then to back to the right using the ringed wall. Along the way, you'll collect the 45th seed in this area.

Construction Yard
- YouTube: Prince of Persia Walkthrough - The Vale: Constuction Yard (Time: 7:34)
- From the teleport point at The Cauldron, climb down the vines on the middle structure, then turn around and head through the tunnel to your left.
- Climb up the platform at the end of this passage way and jump up the narrow vertical corridor at the back. Stop at the second set of fissures and follow the one on the left.
- Go through the circular passageway and wallrun along the left side to reach the Construction Yard.
- Take the middle path at the clearing, jumping over the small stream of corruption that runs next to you.
- You'll put green Power Plates to good use here. Run to the first one and press Y to activate it. Strafe to the right to reach the next plate, then left to hit the third plate. This will take you to another platform, from which you can see the Fertile Ground.
- Turn left and climb the rings on the wall. Then magic jump from the plank to your right to reach a puzzle.
- There are gears to twist on each of the four nearby platforms. The platforms have various lengths and configurations of wooden beams that allow you to jump between them. You need to rotate the gears to get across to the Fertile Ground.
- At the first platform, which is at the bottom left position, turn the gear counterclockwise once.
- Jump to the top left platform and turn the gear counterclockwise three times.
- Jump to the top right platform and turn the gear counterclockwise once. This will cause all of the platforms to rotate, putting you in the top left position now.
- Go to the new bottom left platform and turn the gear clockwise once.
- Jump to the top right platform and turn the gear clockwise twice. You can now magic jump to the fertile ground.
- Without any corruption in the battle arena, this encounter with The Alchemist isn't as tough as the last one. Lead your combos with magic, then follow with X, Y, B, X, Y and X.
- Use magic attacks if The Alchemist changes states and turns black. Use your sword if he turns blue.
- STRATEGY: If you can perform a long combo that takes the Alchemist to the edge of the platform, fast pressing of the X button will send him over, ending your battle immediately. We recommend setting the controller on a flat surface and using two fingers to tap the button alternately.
- Once The Alchemist is defeated, approach the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
Fourth Visit
- Approach the blue glowing circle and tap Y to claim Hand of Ormazd.
- In the tutorial, wallrun to the blue Power Plate and press Y to activate it. This will cause Prince and Elika to swing to the next platform with grappling hook-like magic.
- Once you exit, the King will return. Let him approach, and be ready to deflect.
- Press RT to deflect his attacks, then follow up with X, Y, X, Y, B, Y and X. This will deplete half of his energy, causing him to change states and turn black.
- Deflect again, then lead with Elika's magic. Use the same combo as before, without the opening sword strike. Before you can deplete all his energy, the King will sink into the ground.
- You're free to continue cleansing the land, or you can stop by the areas where you haven't collected every Light Seed. After that, we'll continue at Spire of Dreams.
-
Third Visit
- Nothing eventful here this time around. We're going to take Breath of Ormazd, which will allow us to return to and complete The Vale.
- This power allows you to run along walls. Try it out by pressing Y at the power plate. Use the left thumbstick to steer left and right. Avoid the obstacles to complete the tutorial.
- After a somewhat revealing vision with Elika, we're headed back to the Construction Yard section of The Vale. However, your new power also allows you to get the remaining seeds at the Sun Temple and Martyr's Tower in the Ruined Citadel and The Cauldron in The Vale, so swing by these locales first if you like.
-
Second Visit
- The second time you reach the temple, you'll have a second confrontation with Elika's father. Elika won't take part in this battle, so you'll have to rely on your sword, acrobatics and gauntlet alone.
- An effective combo here is A for acrobatics followed by three slashes of the sword with X. Just don't try it if the King changes states. You'll need to bring him back to normal by attacking with the sword first. When this happens, prevent his counterattack with RT, then move in with the combo.
- After a few successful strikes, Elika will step in, driving back the Mourning King once more.
- We're going to get Wings of Ormazd now. Stand at the second glowing circle from the right and tap Y repeatedly to activate the power.
- The following tutorial teaches you how to use Wings of Ormazd. When activating a power plate with this ability, you'll start flying through the map to a set location. You'll need to use the left thumbstick to dodge up, down, left or right. Avoid obstacles as you fly to each location.
- After the tutorial, you'll get another vision involving Elika and her father, plus a brief dialogue. With the new power in hand, you can head back to the Citadel to cleanse the remaining areas. We'll teleport to The Sun Temple and make The Marshalling Ground our next objective.
-
First Visit
- At the temple, you can cash in collected Light Seeds for new powers. Each power is used to reach four different Fertile Grounds in two areas throughout the game.
- We're going to collect Step of Ormazd first. To activate this power, walk to the far left glowing spot on the ground and tap Y repeatedly.
- This will trigger a brief tutorial on the new power. Simply run to the Power Plate and press Y to activate it, catapulting you to another plate elsewhere in the map. Keep pressing Y to rocket along.
-
The Cavern: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Start with the seeds on the arena floor, then go to the column leading to the ringed wall. Grab all the seeds on your way up.
- If you climb up the next ringed wall at the platform ahead, you can get some seeds from the passageway leading back towards The Vale. Move along the fissure on the left wall. When you reach the second column, jump to the next platform, then run back on the wall to your left to pick up the seed. You can jump off the two walls that are angled towards each other to make it safely to the previous platform.
- Continue this way until you reach the seed just before the path splits toward The Vale and the Temple. Then, turn back. Don't miss the seed at the bottom of the tall tower.
- Once you reach the clearing, go back down the wall with the two rings on it. Turn right and drop down to a lower platform with two more seeds. Take the slide from here to the arena floor, then turn right and go back up to where you were. Now, take the path that goes left. Grab the seeds along this path and jump down to the arena again.
- Turn right and go to the other column, getting any nearby seeds. Climb up and turn left. Grab the seed as you slide down, then leap to the arena floor, turn left and climb back up the column once more.
- Turn right and follow this path down for more seeds. When you can't go any further, jump down to the arena, turn right and climb up the same column one more time.
- When you reach the platform, climb up the two rings on the wall in front of you. Go straight at the top for the passageway leading to the City of Light.
- Most of the seeds here are easy to spot. Make sure to jump from the second column to the wall to get the seed there, then slide all the way down the column to see the seed on the next platform. Turn back before you reach the fork in the path.
- When you get back to the clearing, take the column that leads to an area for roofrunning. Turn around and grab the seed on the ceiling before continuing to the rings along the roof.
- Activate the yellow Power Plate when you reach it. This takes you on a circuit with five Light Seeds. Use the plate again if you don't grab them all the first time.
- From the platform that holds the Power Plate, turn towards the middle of the arena and jump across the columns to chamber on the ceiling. Get the two seeds there, then turn back.
- When you return to the platform, turn left. Climb on the column to get the power seed, then turn back. Follow the path to the left, toward the four areas of the Royal Palace.
- In the next room, find the metal plank on the right, protruding from your current platform. Magic jump from this to reach a network of columns. Grab the seeds along the way here, then climb up the ringed wall.
- To the left, you can drop down a narrow vertical passageway. Two seeds are at the bottom. Gripfall down to get them, then jump back up to the platform above.
- Leap to the platform where an enemy is spawning. Deflect its attack, then defeat it with the combo Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y.
- When the enemy is destroyed, turn back in the direction of the arena. Take the slide platforms down, grabbing two seeds from the walls along the way. This takes care of all 45 seeds for this area.
- Jump on the columns again and go back to the platform where you encountered the enemy. From here, a wooden plank extends toward a wall with two rings on it. Magic jump to the wall and climb up.
- Leap from the columns and walls to reach the next platform. The Cavern is just ahead.
-
Royal Gardens
- Take the stairs in front of you down to the yellow Power Plate on the wall. Use this to fly to a pair of jumping walls, then to a series of two more plates. You'll land at the site of the Royal Gardens.
- This puzzle requires you fill the pool in front of you by opening sluice channels. There are four gears to control the channels on either side of you, and each sluice has white lines to show where the liquid corruption will flow. For reference here, we'll refer to the gears on each side of the room as whether they're near or far from the yellow Power Plate, and whether they're on the left or right when you're overlooking them all.
- Start on the left side. Move the front right gear clockwise once. Move the front left gear counterclockwise once. Move the back left gear clockwise once. Finally, move the back right gear counterclockwise once. This will open the floodgates on this side.
- Now, get over to the right side. Move the front left gear clockwise twice. Move the back left gear counterclockwise once. Move the back right gear clockwise once and move the front right gear clockwise once.
- You can now reach the yellow Power Plate. Run back and jump to the stairs where you approached this area, then jump to the corridor leading to the plate.
- From here you can fly to the Fertile Ground. Approach it and tap Y to reveal another one of The Concubine's illusions.
- Elika will be temporarily out of commission. In the meantime, fend The Concubine off with simple sword and acrobatic combos. Also, The Concubine now changes state and turns red, requiring you to press B to bring her back to normal.
- The trickiest part of fighting her is anticipating and blocking her attacks. This is a pretty wide open area, so if you can deflect with RT just as she's attacking, you can unleash a devastating combo: X, Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, A, Y, X.
- Strategy: Chain your attacks differently depending the state of The Concubine. For example, if she is black, start with Y and continue with X, Y, B and so on. If she is read, you'll have to start with Y, X, Y, then resort to an acrobatic move to extend your combo.
- Once The Concubine is defeated, approach the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
Royal Gardens: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Start with the four seeds around the Fertile Ground. When facing the night sky, turn right and jump to the platform below. Take the path of columns leading to Royal Spire and grab the seeds as you go.
- When you reach the vines on the wall, climb up to get the two seeds on a higher set of vines. Turn back before you reach the platform with an enemy on it.
- When you get back to the previous platform, go around the corner and jump to the columns. Get the two seeds and continue along the wall to the vines. Jump to the column, then leap to the wall and back for one more seed.
- Once you have all the seeds around here, go back to the first column you jumped on in this area. Climb up, and jump to the wall to reach a fissure. Run to the red Power Plate and activate it. After a series of jumps, you'll reach a secluded platform with several Light Seeds.
- Gripfall down the wall and run forward to the opposite side of the room. There are more columns to jump to here, with seeds along them. Keep going along this path, so you're heading towards Spire of Dreams.
- Jump on the poles, and magic jump on the last one to reach a running wall. From here, leap to the wooden beam. Run down and grab the three seeds, then jump along the wall to the pole.
- Don't jump to the platform yet. Instead, turn around on the pole and you'll see a small platform with two more seeds. Jump to the wall on the right to reach the platform, then return to the pole and magic jump to the platform below.
- Defeat the enemy here, preferably by knocking it off the edge, then find the small plank that leads to a distant beam. Magic jump to get there.
- Turn left and run along the wall. Extend your run to the next wall with a magic jump and you'll reach another seed on the way.
- Go back the way you came via a plank that extends to the beam leading down here. When you get back to the columns, climb up the first one and jump to the wall to reach a fissure. Follow this to the red Power Plate, leading to another secluded platform with two more Light Seeds.
- Slide down and go through the large, elaborate gateway as if you're returning to The Cavern. Run along the left wall and take the slides for two more seeds. At the column, turn left. You can magic jump to a small passageway with another two seeds.
- Go back to the column and turn right. Slide down to the platform and go to the ringed wall on your right. Climb up the wall and take the columns back to the Royal Gardens, getting two more seeds on the way.
- Once you're through the garden entrance, go down the stairs and activate the yellow Power Plate. Grab the seed during the wallrun ahead, then continue using the plates to reach the garden floor.
- Scour the garden for seeds. There are two hanging from each platform that overlooks the night sky. Two more are on the outer walls of the chamber where the yellow Power Plate is found, and another two can be gathered from the former corruption basins.
- The back of the garden, on the left side of the chamber that holds the yellow Power Plate, has one more seed on the ground. On the left side of this chamber, there's a raised platform that's too high to reach on your own. To get up there, go to the right side of the structure, and use the protruding column as a jumpoff point.
- After you get all these, use the yellow Power Plate to get out of the garden. You should have all 45 seeds by now, and more than enough to unlock the final power. Teleport to The Temple to claim it.
-
Spire of Dreams: Light Seeds
- Collect the seeds on the platform, but don't descend down the middle when you're finished. Instead, find the small piece of platform that sticks out from the outer edge and drop down that way.
- On your way down, try to grab the two Light Seeds. Avoid the sharp ledges that will knock you down.
- When you reach the bottom, drop down on the left side of the platform. There's another surface underneath with some light seeds. Grab the ring on the wall to open a gate, and use the nearby column to climb back up.
- Use the green Power Plate on the wall to climb back up the outside of the spire. After you hit the third plate, look for a ramp on your left. This takes you to a platform with plenty of Light Seeds. Hit the green Power Plate from here to head back to the top of the Spire.
- Instead of taking the same route down, this time look for a plank that protrudes from the wall, slightly below the ledge. You can find it counterclockwise from the platform you took last time.
- Drop to the plank, then drop down to the pole below. Swing to the next pole, then to a platform where there's another Light Seed. From here, you can wallrun to the right, then Gripfall down. HINT: For the safest passage, follow the gray streak marks on the walls.
- Now, head inside the spire. Circle the bottom floor and grab all the seeds, then go into the narrow hallway that's lined with seeds. Run along the walls to grab them. It's not necessary to go all the way to the next platform to meet the waiting enemy. Just turn back toward the spire.
- The passage back to The Vale is also on this floor. Go this way to collect more seeds. When you reach the open area, start with the pathway on the right. To reach the seeds on the upper pathway to the left, you have to basically go all the way back to The Vale.
- You'll make a magic jump to reach a raised platform, then you can turn around and magic jump again to reach an even higher platform. Continue back towards the Spire of Dreams along this upper path and you'll reach a lot more seeds on your way back. Don't miss the two stacked vertically along the hanging wall to your left, just before you drop back down to the lower pathway.
- Now you can continue up the spire using the blue Power Plates. Take the elevator when you reach it and stop at the first floor you reach. Go clockwise around the wall to gather the seeds, then return to the elevator and head up again.
- Stop at the next floor and go clockwise around the walls. Grab the seed on the raised platform and keep moving clockwise to climb the walls. You'll get a seed along the way.
- When you reach the next floor, grab the seed on the platform, and also jump to get one hanging on the wall. There's one more hanging from the center platform; circle the perimeter to find it. Take the elevator up and drop down along the outer edge once more.
- At the bottom, climb away from the spire along the columns. Follow this path to the long wooden beam, grabbing any seeds you see.
- Near the end of the wooden beam, look to your right and you'll see a distant platform with two more seeds. Drop down to the plank just below the beam, then magic jump to the platform. You should now have all 45 seeds from the Spire of Dreams.
-
Royal Spire
- Set your destination to Royal Spire and follow the path set by Elika. From the Spire of Dreams, you'll cross through the Royal Garden using the side walls. Continue toward the spire until you reach an enemy. Take care of the enemy and continue along the walls.
- The blue walls on your right have corruption moving along them, but they are fairly simple to avoid. Continue along these walls until you reach the next platform.
- You'll need to pass two consecutive pieces of corruption here. Wait until they move above your path before jumping. Now, head into the spire.
- Use the wall on the right to reach the upper platform, then jump to the center toward the blue Power Plate.
- The plate rotates in and out of view. Wait until it's shifted so you can't see it, then jump as it's spinning back into view. Quickly tap Y to move ahead.
- Blast along to the column. Leap along the wall, using the plates and columns to reach the next platform.
- The middle structure has another blue plate, but it's shifting again. Make a note of the timing, and magic jump just before the structure is about to turn and reveal the plate. Run up and activate it quickly.
- WARNING: After you swing from the next plate, you'll have to press Y to magic jump just before the approaching platform to reach it. Many of the jumps ahead require you to do the same. Be ready to boost yourself whenever you activate a blue Power Plate.
- Continue along the wall, making use of plates and columns along the way. You'll eventually reach a platform that contains an elevator. Jump on and rotate the crank to go up to the roof.
- Elika will be wrapped up in corruption again, and The Concubine will appear. You can actually free Elika immediately by submitting to The Concubine's attacks, forcing the princess to break her shackles and save you.
- Simply blocking The Concubine's attacks isn't effective here, as she'll often overpower you and knock the Prince down. You need to either deflect her attacks and counter or try to attack her first.
- You can sometimes catch The Concubine off guard by leading with Y for a magic attack, then following with a quick Y, X, Y combo. This is especially effective if she's changed states and turned black.
- If she turns blue, you'll need to lead with X, and if she turns red, turn her back to normal by pressing B for the gauntlet.
- Don't push The Concubine all the way to the ledge when attacking, as she'll simply teleport behind you. But if you do have enough room, deflect her attacks with RT and unleash a massive combo of Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, A, X.
- Once The Concubine is defeated, approach the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
Royal Spire: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- See the three seeds that lead to the edge of the platform? They're hinting at your pathway down. Grab them, then hang over the edge of the extended platform lip. Before dropping, hold down on the right thumbstick and make a mental note of the Light Seeds along the wall. You'll want to grab them on the way down.
- When you reach the bottom, take the green Power Plate on the wall back up. Follow the series of plates along the outside of the spire. You'll eventually see the wall ramp up to a platform. Get the seeds here, then use the plate above you to go back to the top of the spire.
- Drop back down again the same way you did last time. If you missed any seeds before, now is a good chance to claim them.
- When you reach the bottom, don't go back in the spire just yet. First, turn right towards the mountain wall and drop from the ledge on that side. Two seeds are on this lower platform.
- Grab the ring on the wall to open the gate, leading to a column that starts you toward the Royal Gardens. Follow this path, as there are seeds along the way.
- You'll reach a platform, then some vines that lead to a column. On your left, you can see a deep split in the mountain wall with Light Seeds inside. Jump from the column to get there, then return to the column and continue to the next wall for two more seeds. After that, return to the spire.
- Once inside, go along the wall on your right, getting the seeds along the way, and go through the door that leads to the City of Light.
- When you reach the platform that faces to the right around a corner, look over the edge. You can get the seed below by dropping down, then jumping from the wall to the platform behind you.
- There are no real surprises here are you move along the path, just a few easy seeds to grab on each platform. When you reach the wide, grassy platform just before corrupted ground, look over the ledge on the left side. Drop down to the platform where you can turn left and face them, then magic jump to the wall to get them both.
- Now, go back to the spire. Circle around the first floor to get all the seeds, then head up to the blue Power Plate.
- Once you've swung to the column from here, jump right to the wall, don't jump again to reach the next column. Instead, slide down the wall and to the left, reaching a platform below. Look at the structure in the center -- you'll see a blue Power Plate switching in and out of view on this side, as well. Jump to it when it appears and you'll swing to a fissure, leading to one more light seed.
- Drop down to the platform on your left and climb back up to the Power Plate again. Now, you can move up the wall as you did to reach The Concubine.
- After you leap from the second spinning Power Plate, don't forget to do a magic jump as you're approaching the next platform. From here, turn left and run along the wall. Drop down and to your right to the platform below. Now, leap to the platform to your right for one more seed.
- From here, you'll have to run along the wall to your left and slide down to the blue Power Plate. Continue once again up the path to the Fertile Ground.
- When you reach the same level that holds the elevator, you'll see that there's one more seed below. First, grab the seed on your level, then run clockwise along the wall and slide down to that platform. Get the seed in the middle, then jump from here to the Power Plate on the wall.
- Ride this back up to the elevator level, then go to the Fertile Ground. Slide back down the side of the building and head into the spire once more.
- Once inside, travel along the first floor until you reach the door leading to Coronation Hall (Hint: If you don't know where that is, set the destination on your map and press Y to have Elika show you the way.)
- This long hallway has several light seeds on a beam that runs along the ceiling. You'll have to wall run to the column ahead, then climb up and roofrun back the way you came for the first seed. Then return to the column and roofrun forward for the rest.
- When you reach the platform, defeat the enemy using a Y, X, Y, B, Y, X combo. Get the last two seeds on this platform and you'll have all 45 from this area. Continue forward to Coronation Hall.
-
Coronation Hall
- Roofrun along the beams leading through this hallway, then use the columns to reach an outside platform. Wallrun around the next corner, using the ring to extend your run. Then, go inside the building to your left.
- Prince is smart. He knows this looks too easy. Still, you have no choice but to jump to the yellow Power Plate.
- Dodge left, then right as you fly out of the building. Once outside, dodge left, then right again to avoid the massive stalactites.
- As usual, Elika will become trapped in corruption when you land. Jump over the black liquid and approach The Concubine, who stands near the Fertile Ground. Try to slice her when you get close. Repeat this when she appears again, and a gate will open along the wall.
- Go through the gate and try to slash The Concubine again. She'll open another gate to your left.
- This hallway is filled with corruption along the walls. Slide down -- it does not matter if you fall through the gaps, as you can always climb up when you reach the columns between the slides.
- You'll fall into a sunken room. Climb up the fissure on the right wall and jump to the next slide on your left.
- After landing in a large room, slash The Concubine. She'll disappear and Elika will rejoin you. Around the corner from a blue door, jump up the wall using the ring.
- Wallrun to the sliding ring, then quickly jump to the structure that appears. The Concubine will release a bird-like piece of flying corruption.
- It looks scary, but it's not much of a threat. Jump to the poles, then climb up the wall. Jump along the columns, then climb up at the last one.
- Look to your left, there's a ring on the wall, surrounded by corruption. Wait until they part ways, then jump. Use the ring to extend your run to another sliding ring on the wall. Run and jump from here to reach the next column.
- Climb up the column and you'll see the Fertile Ground. Jump to it for your next battle with The Concubine.
- Stay away from the walls. The Concubine isn't particularly fast, so position yourself to make room for larger combos.
- The best strategy is to deflect her attacks with RT, then follow up with a combo. Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, A, X works nicely.
- Failing that, you can occasionally sneak in a magic attack as your gateway to a longer combo. Don't try it unless she's close enough and not on the offensive.
- If The Concubine knocks you down, she'll likely try and finish you off. You'll get a different camera angle on her that signals when this is happening. Press the correct button when prompted to save yourself.
- As with before, attack with X if she turns blue, Y if she turns black and B if she turns red.
- Once she's defeated, stand at the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
Spire of Dreams
- Starting from the Royal Gardens, have Elika set a path for you and follow it to the platform below. You've been here before, collecting seeds. Continue on the path to the long beam.
- HINT: An enemy is spawning on the platform ahead. You can get to it before it materializes by lining up on the wooden beam with the plank that extends from the platform. Do a magic jump, then slash the spawning enemy with X. Otherwise, you'll have to fight it the old-fashioned way.
- Jump on the other plank and follow the beam to the right. Magic jump to the wall and use the column to reach the next platform. Hop on the next two columns and head into the Spire of Dreams..
- Turn left and use the pole to get to the next platform. Hurry, as the air around here is corrupted.
- Dodge the corruption as you wallrun to the blue Power Plate. A sequence of plates and running rings follows, as The Concubine's voice is heard taunting you.
- At the next platform, head to the crank-operated elevator. Pull it to head up to the next floor.
- Elika will become ensnared by corruption at the top. She'll tell you to find The Concubine, who, when you regain your controls, appears to be right in front of the Prince. This is obviously an illusion. Keep looking.
- Turn right and run along the wall to your left. Grab the column and roofrun to the next one. Hop to the wall and jump down to the platform where The Concubine waits. Strike her again and she'll disappear.
- Now, you can find her on the platform below once again. Jump down to where Elika is held, then move to the Concubine and strike her one more time. Elika will be free, and you can continue moving up the Spire.
- Leap from the elevator to the platform where The Concubine stood on her second appearance. Turn right and magic jump to the column ahead. Roofrun, then wallrun using the two rings to continue your ascent.
- The two pieces of corruption on the next wall move parallel to each other, so time the jump when they are both well out of the way of the ring on the wall. Press Y when you reach the blue Power Plate to activate it.
- Same goes with the next platform, but this time, wait until they are moving above the ring on the wall.
- Magic jump from the pole to the rings on the wall, then use the plate to reach another set of poles. Magic jump from the second pole, then activate the next plate. Be prepared to jump to a pole when you reach the next wall.
- From here, magic jump to the wall and run to the plate. Keep moving along the wall using the ring, then jump to the next pole.
- Magic jump from here, then jump again to reach some more poles. Swing along to the third one, then magic jump to reach the next Power Plate
- You're almost at solid ground. Climb up the fissure and move to the right. Run along the wall, then jump to the platform. Another crank-operated elevator here will take you to the top of the Spire.
- The Concubine appears at the top after she lowers the elevator you took to get there.
- WARNING:Don't bother trying to knock her off the edge. She'll simply disappear and reappear behind you, putting you in more danger than before.
- The general strategy is the same here as in previous fights. Deflect her attacks with RT, then follow with Y, X, Y, X.
- Remember, if she turns red, lead your counterattacks with B. Lead with Y if she turns black and X if she turns blue.
- If The Concubine backs you up to a ledge, get ready to tap X quickly, as she'll try to knock you off.
- Deplete her energy and the Fertile Ground is yours. Approach it and tap Y to cleanse the land.
-
The Cavern
- Starting from The Cauldron, slide down the weeds along the tall middle structure, then turn left and follow the path around the corner to the right. Turn left when you get through the passage up ahead.
- Continue on this path and stay left at the fork.
- Hurry along the columns ahead, as the air around here is corrupted. Use the columns to get to higher ground.
- You'll reach a wall with a protruding tower at the end of the path. Climb up using the fissures.
- Of course, the bridges are out, so you'll have to go "the hard way," Elika says. Start with the poles, then move ahead to the columns, using a magic jump to get from one to the next.
- Turn right when you get to the next platform, use the roof columns to the middle of the room -- except that the second column is an illusion by The Concubine
- She'll trap Elika in corruption, forcing you to chase her. Look for the column nearest your platform and climb up. Jump to the wall, then turn right once your on the platform.
- Leap between the poles, then time your wallrun to avoid the two pieces of corruption. Jump from the wall to land in front of The Concubine. Try to slice her with X -- it appears she's an illusion as well.
- Jump from the plank on this platform to the arena below. Turn to the column on your right and climb up it. Leap to the platform and follow the path on the right. After two slides, you'll get another shot at The Concubine. Attack her to reveal that it's just another illusion.
- Jump off the plank from this platform and find the column on your right. Leap across to the wall, and use the ring to climb up. Turn left when you reach the top and take the platforms to where The Concubine is waiting. Slash her again, and you'll see a cutscene, indicating you're on the right track.
- Leap down to the arena and fight The Concubine for real. Elika will be freed, so you can use her powers in battle.
- An effective combo is X, then follow with Y, B, Y, X, A and X. Use RT to deflect as soon as you see her wind up for an attack -- she usually spins around first.
- Achievement: To get "Concubine Special," you'll want to refrain from pressing B. Instead of the combo above, try X, Y, A, X, Y, X.
- If you're following the same path through the game as us, The Concubine will turn black, in which case you have to use magic to turn her back to normal. Use your sword if she turns blue. In either case, follow through with a combo.
- Be ready to respond to a button prompt if you're knocked down. She'll also try to push you off the edge if you're near it, requiring you to tap X quickly to break free.
- A few solid combos and The Concubine will retreat. Approach the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
Palace Rooms
- Jump to the yellow Power Plate ahead and press Y to activate it.
- Dodge right, then left to get around the structures in front of you. After a short interval, be ready to dodge left again.
- Activate the next Power Plate when you reach it. Be ready to dodge right, then left.
- Go to the blue Power Plate on the next platform, swing to the next blue plate, then activate the yellow Power Plate when you reach it.
- Dodge left, then down. You'll reach a wall with a blue Power Plate. Activate it to continue. One more yellow plate and you'll get to a room with The Concubine.
- Images of her will appear everywhere, and she'll start taunting you. Start slashing them with your sword until there are none left. The real Concubine will then appear for a battle.
- Blocking is almost completely useless here, as it will often trigger button prompts that are very difficult to accomplish. The best strategy is to deflect by pressing RT just as she starts to attack. You can then counterattack with a combo.
- If you're knocked down, be ready to respond to a button prompt to save your life. The camera angle will usually change to signal that this is about to happen.
- As with previous fights, attack with Y if The Concubine turns black, X if she turns blue and B if she turns red. If you're close enough to her, you can land a quick attack with these buttons as she's changing color.
- In this battle, The Concubine will occasionally cast a band of pink that glows around you. When this happens, your movements are reversed, but it's a minor nuisance as the emphasis here is mostly on attacking and blocking.
- It is possible to sneak in a quick attack against The Concubine without deflecting her moves. Wait until your within range and lead with Y for Elika's magic, then follow with X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, A, X.
- The Concubine will retreat temporarily when you deplete roughly a third of her energy.
- A gate will open. Go outside and blast between the series of blue and yellow power plates. You'll need to press Y for a magic jump when you get close to the next palace room.
- The Concubine is waiting inside. She'll knock Elika down before setting her sights on you.
- First thing's first, stand next to Elika and press Y to revive her.
- Use the same strategies as before to battle The Concubine. She'll disappear after you deplete another third of her energy.
- Go out the newly opened gate and use the blue Power Plate on the wall. After you hit the yellow plate, you'll have to magic jump to reach the next wall. Continue using the plates to get to the third showdown with The Concubine.
- She'll make Elika disappear and then create six images of her in a circle around you.
- The only way to bring Elika back is to jump off the edge of the platform. It's a leap of faith, but sure enough, the princess will come and save you.
- This only angers The Concubine, but if you've had luck fighting her before, it should be no different now.
- Position yourself near the middle of the arena. Deflect one of her attacks, then follow with the combo of Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, A, Y, X.
- You may have to hit her once or twice more than this to finish her off. Doing so will give you the "Death of a Concubine" Achievement and 25 Light Seeds.
- You know the drill. An escape from this area is necessary before you can rest. Head straight out to the wall that holds a yellow Power Plate. It's an easy flight from here back to Coronation Hall.

City Gate: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Don't take the path in front of you just yet. First grab the seed on the large door to your right, then turn around to the lone seed by the edge of the platform.
- Grab this seed and then hang over the ledge. There are two more seeds to get from climbing along here. Now, you can follow the path of Light Seeds that leads off this platform.
- Slide down the path, then up the vines on the wall, grabbing seeds as you go. When you reach the next column, don't miss the two seeds against the wall to your right. You can jump to the wall, then back, to get them.
- Roof-run to the next platform, then get on the wooden board that leads to a path to your left.
- Jump from this board onto a large grassy platform, and grab the surrounding Light Seeds. There's one high up on the wall that's tricky to reach. To get it, stand at the lip of the platform that looks over a series of slides, then magic jump to the wall.
- Look around to the slide that leads toward a blue Power Plate on the wall, and ride it down.
- There are a couple things to do from this area. First, climb up the vines on the wall, then run along the wall to your right. The series of platforms and columns ahead leads to one Power Seed, then back to the Fertile Ground.
- Head all the way back to where you were and use the blue Power Plate. You can reach it by climbing up the vines on the wall next to it, then running to the right to grab it.
- This leads up to a high platform. Grip-fall down the wall that has a few more seeds on it.
- When you reach the bottom, turn right and go down the path of slides on the left. Before turning around and taking the other set of slides back, move into the next room and run along the wall on your left. Take the fissures up to a high platform, and keep moving forward.
- As you slide down the set of wooden boards, hold yourself to the right. There's one Light Seed to grab on the final board.
- Turn around when you reach the bottom and head back towards the City of Light. After the first slide, don't miss the seed along the wall to your right. You'll have to magic jump there and back to get it.
- When you come through the gateway into the City of Light, jump on the slides on the left side, grabbing the Light Seed along the way.
- Continue on this path of slides that leads to the left. Then, follow the wall on your right. Don't miss the two seeds that are above the second patch of weeds you encounter.
- To get the last two seeds in this area, you'll actually have to cross into corrupted land. Climb along the wall on your right, then slide to the platform where an enemy is waiting. Defeat it with Y, B, Y, X, Y, X. Now turn back towards the city gate, and you'll be able to see the two seeds along the walls.
- Take the path leading back to the City Gate to get these two seeds, then go back to the enemy platform. Continue further into the corrupted land towards the Tower of Ahriman.
-
Queen's Tower
- From here, we'll continue back the way we just came to the Queen's Tower. Follow the slides to the platform where you just faced an enemy, then turn right and climb up the fissures.
- Jump to another set of slides. Continue down, avoiding the corruption on the intermittent walls. When you reach the next platform, head inside Queen's Tower.
- Look left and leap to the green Power Plate. At the next platform, magic jump across the stream of corruption and hit the next plate.
- This section, where you use Breath of Ormazd, is quite tricky. Even worse, it's long, so if you make a mistake you'll retread lots of old ground. Here's a guide for getting through.
- Be ready to dodge a lamppost after the first plate. The second plate is a free ride.
- There are two consecutive lamp posts to dodge after the third plate. The fourth plate has no obstacles.
- The path from the fifth plate has one plank to dodge.
- The path from the sixth plate is a smooth ride until the end, when you'll suddenly have to dodge a plank.
- The path from the seventh plate has one plank to dodge in the middle.
- The path from the eighth plate has one plank to dodge before you reach the next plate.
- At the ninth and last plate, immediately dodge slightly to the right, then turn hard back to the left, then right slightly to reach the platform.
- Once outside, turn right and run on the wall. Grab the ring at the corner to reach a green Power Plate. Activate this and the next plate along the way to reach The Warrior.
- This looks tricky, as the entire room is walled off. After a moment, though, one of the gates will open, providing a small window of opportunity.
- The best way to defeat The Warrior carries some risk, but can make this battle quick and easy. Back up to the opened gate so that you're in danger of falling off. Let the Warrior come near and knock you to the edge.
- You'll now have to tap X to save yourself. As with other situations like this, we recommend putting the controller down and tapping steadily with two fingers. If you're successful the Prince will turn the tables, leaving The Warrior with his back to the ledge.
- With any luck, The Warrior will change forms at this point. Quickly press the appropriate button when this happens (X if he turns blue and Y if he turns black) and follow with a short combo of sword and magic attacks to knock him to the edge.
- Otherwise, just deflect his attack with RT before using a combo.
- You'll have to tap X quickly to knock The Warrior off. Once you've done this, approach the Fertile Ground and press Y to restore it.
-
Ahriman's Tower: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Start with the four seeds around the Fertile Ground. Then, go to the new wall that swung open after you defeated The Warrior. Jump to this wall from the opposite platform and Gripfall down, then jump across to the next platform.
- Follow these slides down to the bottom of the tower. Be sure to grab all the Light Seeds on the way. At the bottom, jump to the fissure on the wall, then slide down to the ground.
- Before you go inside, circle around the tower's outer walkway for two more seeds.
- Once inside, use the fissures that you took up the tower before. When you reach the top, first jump to the red Power Plate on the wall, and blast between the series of four inside this room for more seeds.
- Now, go outside. Climb up the tower just as you did to reach the Fertile Ground, grabbing more seeds along the way. When you reach the top, come back down the slides and go inside.
- First, get the seed in the middle of the room. To get down from this area safely, find the wall with the blue Power Seed, but instead of jumping there, simply hang over the ledge that faces it and slide down. Press B when you reach the ring to swing underneath the platform, then roofrun until you can take the last column to the ground.
- After getting the four seeds on this platform, you'll see there are three doors you can take. We'll start with the one that heads back to the City Gate.
- Take the slide on the left, then follow the path to the platform where you once faced an enemy. There are two sets of slides to take from here. The right path leads back to the Tower of Ahriman, and the left path goes back to the City Gate. Take the left path.
- When you reach the next platform, turn left and go back along the wall to your right, leading in the general area of the platform you came from. On the way, you'll see there's one more seed to get along the wall.
- When you get back to the square platform, take the other path of slides, directly in front of you. Grab the seeds on the way back to the Tower of Ahriman.
- Once you get back inside the tower, turn left. Before you jump across the gap to the door, hang over the ledge and slide down. Press B to grab a ring underneath the platform, and you can roofrun across to the other side, grabbing a seed on the way. Press B at the end of the platform to hoist yourself back up.
- Now, head on the path leading to Tower of Ormazd. Travel along the slides and columns to get the seeds. When you get to the column that's on the border of corrupted land, be sure to climb all the way up, then jump against the wall for two more seeds.
- Go back to the Tower of Ahriman, then head along the path towards Queen's Tower. Once outside, magic jump to the fissure in the next structure, then wallrun to the slide on your right. Grab the seeds along the way.
- You'll reach a platform with an enemy. This one's easy. Just use X, Y, X, B, Y, X, Y, B.
- Now, look for the narrow wall that has a fissure on it, to the right if you're facing the way you came from. Jump up here and climb around.
- Wait until the piece of corruption moves all the way to the right, then wallrun and jump to the slide. Follow this back to the Tower of Ahriman. Along the way, you'll collect the last two of the 45 Light Seeds in this area.
-
Tower of Ahriman
- Go down the slide from this platform, then use the walls and slides ahead to reach the next piece of steady ground. You'll have to avoid some corruption along the way.
- Cross through the gateway and into the middle platform and you'll see a brief cut scene
- Climb up the center column, with your back facing the blue Power Plate on the tower above. When you reach the top, roof-run to the ring on the corner. Press B to swing up to the wall, then jump to the plate and activate it with Y.
- This takes you to a set of fissures. Climb up them to the bridge above, then walk to the other side of the room.
- Turn left and you'll see a gap in the railing along the bridge. The wall beyond here has some fissures you can climb up. Jump to the platform behind you once you get high enough, then go outside.
- There's a fissure on the inner wall to your right once you get outside. Jump on, then climb up to the fissure on the metal plate. Wall-run to the right from here and you'll reach a fissure leading to another platform.
- Once on the platform, grab the sliding ring on the wall. Now, you can run up the fissure next to you to the metal wall. Wall-run to the left from here until you reach another platform.
- Turn the crank here to rotate the circular plate to your left. Once it's positioned vertically, you can wallrun to it and climb up. Follow the fissures to the next platform.
- Activate the sliding ring here. This moves two metal plates into position above, so you can climb the fissure next to you and cross to the platform on your left.
- Grab hold of the crank at the next platform. Rotate it clockwise once.
- You can actually wallrun and jump to the next platform without using the circular plate in the middle. Once across, grab the crank here and turn it in either direction twice. Then, pull the sliding ring on the wall.
- Run back again to the first platform. Climb onto the now-lowered metal plate and take the path of fissures you just created.
- When you reach the last fissure, wallrun and jump to the opposite platform, then activate the blue Power Plate. Climb up the next column to the Fertile Ground.
- The Warrior is back. You'll have to use the same strategy of knocking him over the edge instead of depleting his energy.
- Don't even try a combo that involves B -- he's too heavy to pick up. Instead, start with X and follow with Y, X, Y.
- If he turns black, you'll have to lead with Y for a magic attack. If he turns blue, lead with your sword, as you normally would.
- HINT: The Warrior is a slow opponent. Use this to your advantage by circling around him to a position where he's near the edge. Then, deflect his attacks and follow with a combo.
- Once you get him close, tap X repeatedly to send him over. Then, approach the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
City Gate
- We'll start from the teleport point at The Cavern section of The Royal Palace. Turn right and go to the column. Climb up, and over the ringed wall in front of you.
- Follow the path through the narrow corridor ahead until you reach the end, then take the path to the left. Continue on this path of slides until you reach the arched passageway leading into the city.
- You'll have a brief dialog with Elika. Follow the slides on your left, and when you reach the upper platform, turn right and move down the slide to the fertile ground.
- A stalactite will drop in front of you as you slide. Be prepared to jump to the platform on your right as you divert paths.
- There's a set of weeds to climb on the wall in front of you. Head up and over the ledge.
- The area around you will start to crumble. Move along the wall on your right, then jump on the columns to reach the Fertile Ground and The Warrior.
- This boss can't be damaged with swords or magic, but you can still use these attacks to push him off the ledge. If he turns blue, change him back to normal with X.
- The Hunter likes to knock Prince down with powerful attacks, then finishing him off with a stomp. Be ready to respond to a button prompt when this happens.
- Achievement: This first encounter is a good place to earn "Warrior Special." You'll have to dodge his attacks 20 times in one battle. To do this, wait until he winds up for an attack, then press down on the left thumbstick and A at the same time to roll out of the way.
- Knock The Hunter to the edge, and you'll have to tap X rapidly to send him over. Try putting your controller on a flat surface, then using two alternating fingers to hit the button.
- Once he's defeated, go to the Fertile Ground and tap Y to restore it.
-
City of Light
- Follow the path to the platform where you just encountered an enemy. Magic jump to the column leading into corrupted land ahead.
- As you move along the columns, the flying bit of corruption that bothered you in the Royal Palace is back. Just ignore it and keep jumping between the slides and columns.
- You'll reach a set of poles and planks. Jump to the next platform, then wallrun to the blue Power Plate.
- When you land, The Warrior will send out a new kind of enemy. The tentacles of these corruption protrude from the walls at timed intervals. Just wait until they recede before moving along the wall.
- Jump to the fissure around the corner, then wait until the corruption below disappears to drop down. Use the same strategy to wallrun to the blue Power Plate.
- The next segment is all about speed. There's a fair number of tentacles along the walls as you make your way down a slide and around a couple corners. Don't let up. Just keep running and you'll be fine.
- You'll eventually reach a fissure after which the strategy is the same. Start running just after the corruption recedes, then keep going until you reach a blue Power Plate, which will launch you into an arena with The Warrior.
- You'll have to trap The Warrior in the narrow red space, along the wall in front of you. You can do this easily with a similar strategy as before.
- Start by letting him knock you down. When he moves in for the kill, press the correct button when prompted and you'll end up on the opposite side of him.
- Now, back yourself into the trap where you're trying to lure The Hunter. Block his attacks and you'll have to tap X quickly to save yourself. Do this, and you'll be on The Hunter's opposite side once again.
- Deflect one of his attacks with RT, then follow with X, Y, X, Y, X. Or, be ready to lead with magic if he turns black. You may have to repeat this once or twice to fully back him into the wall.
- Once you've pushed him far enough, tap X quickly to stun him. Prince will quickly lower the gate, trapping The Hunter inside. You can now heal the Fertile Ground by tapping Y. The Hunter will disappear when you do this.
-
City of Light: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- The first four are on your current platform. Wallrun from here to the blue Power Plate, and climb up the next fissure to another platform.
- Turn right. You can magic jump across the way to the seed on the far wall.
- When you return, look right to the set of poles and a plank protruding from the wall. Get the Light Seed along the plank, then continue to the next platform.
- Run along the wall here to the blue Power Plate. Don't miss the seed between the gaps as you move along the surface ahead.
- Get the seeds along the fissures, then move to the next blue Power Plate. Be sure to jump up from the next fissure for another Light Seed, then go to the next plate.
- The pathways ahead lead back to the Fertile Ground. They're tricky but the seeds themselves are easy to spot.
- Eventually, you'll reach a solid platform where you'll have to jump and run between two walls, then jump around three corners to reach a fissure. Jump up from the end of this fissure for another seed, then wallrun to another set of walls just like the last one, and you'll soon be back at the Fertile Ground.
- Take the blue Power Plate out of here again. At the next platform, follow the same set of poles, but instead of using the blue Power Plate when you get to solid ground again, jump up and gather the Light Seeds in this area, which leads to Warrior's Fortress.
- Run past the entrance to a plank on the other side. Jump and run along the walls to the next plank. Use the crossbeams here to walljump. On top of one of the walls is a platform with one more seed.
- Go back down and take the slide from here to another platform. Go down the next slide and magic jump to the column.
- Roofrun from here to get one Light Seed, but instead of extending your run at the ring, let Prince fall onto the slide, collecting another seed at the edge.
- Turn around when you get to the next platform. Jump to the column and roofrun for two more seeds.
- Continue along this pathway. A slide leads to a pole, and a plank where you can use a yellow Power Plate.
- When flying, you'll have to dodge some obstacles and collect seeds. There are five in all. You'll return at the end to a platform near where you started, so you can always make another run.
- Follow this path back to the gate leading to Warrior's Fortress. Go to the other side of this platform and take the path on the right. When you reach the plank here, face one of the walls, and wall jump up to a hidden platform to your left. Grab the seeds here, Gripfall back down and continue towards the platform ahead.
- Your next destination, the Tower of Ormazd, lays straight ahead. Continue to the platform where an enemy is waiting, grabbing more seeds along the way. Then, loop back for more seeds. Be sure to drop below on the first plank for two more -- the last in this area.
-
Tower of Ormazd
- Have Elika set a path for you. Follow it past the platform where you just encountered an enemy. Time your jumps on the next two walls to jump past the tentacled corruption, then slide down two platforms to the tower entrance.
- Use the ring on the wall ahead to reach the green Power Plate.
- Blast off from here and immediately veer right to avoid corruption. Keep going right so you turn the corner of the wall, allowing you to reach the next level of the tower.
- The Warrior appears on this floor. To defeat him, you need to push him the pillars in three corners of the room.
- Your strategy from the last two battles works well in this situation as well. Back yourself into a pillar, then submit to The Warrior's attacks. Fending him off will allow you to flip around to his opposite side and push him into the pillars.
- If he knocks you down, press the correct button when prompted to get around to the other side of him. If you get knocked into the pillar yourself, press X rapidly to recover and switch sides.
- When you get his back to the pillars, hit him with a combo, such as X, Y, X, X.
- If he changes forms, use this opportunity for a quick strike. Lead with Y if he turns black or X if he turns blue.
- Once you've got him on a pillar, tap X repeatedly to knock him forward. Repeat this three times to defeat him.
- You've still got to exit this area to reach the Fertile Ground. Find the corner of the room that didn't have a pillar and climb up the rings on the wall, then jump to the opposite platform to reach the balcony outside.
- Turn right and wallrun along the side of the building, avoiding the corruption as you go. Turn the corner at the ring by pressing B.
- Climb up the vines to the next level. The stairs inside will collapse, so you'll need to run along the left wall to keep going. Climb up the next wall using the ring and go outside to the next balcony.
- Turn left and run along the wall using the rings. Climb up the two sets of vines around the corner, then wallrun to the right to reach another balcony.
- Wait for the corruption to the right to recede, then keep running around the building.
- Climb up the vines, then wallrun to the right. Grab the ring and jump to the wall to your right just before you reach the pile of corruption. Keep jumping along the walls until you reach another set of vines.
- Wallrun to the right and turn the corner once more. From the vines, run right to the green Power Plate, which takes you to the Fertile Ground.
- Unfortunately, The Warrior is back. He smashes the building's foundation, knocking the Fertile Ground down.
- The broken floors make nice slides back down the tower. Ride these down, making use of walls and rings along the way.
- The slide takes you outside. Use the ring on the corner of the building to reach a fissure. Follow this to where it drops down slightly, then Gripfall to reach bottom of the tower. Be careful to avoid the top of the doorway, as it will slip you up.
- The Fertile Ground is intact inside this floor, and The Hunter is nowhere to be seen. Approach the ground and tap Y repeatedly to restore it.
-
Tower of Ormazd: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Start with the two seeds in the corner of this room, then go outside and circle the perimeter of the tower. There is a seed on each side, just over the railing. You can collect them just by standing on the railing near them.
- Go back inside and activate the yellow Power Plate. This long ride has five Light Seeds along the way.
- Now, climb up the rings along the wall, which you previously used to reach the top of the tower. Grab the light seed on your way up to the next floor, and don't miss the one that's on the opposite wall when you get there.
- Head outside to the balcony and turn right. Climb along the outside of the building, collecting seeds as you go.
- You'll eventually turn a corner without anywhere to go, and Prince will slide back down to the lower level. Go back up to the balcony again, and turn left this time. Go along the wall from this side for one more Light Seed.
- When you drop to the lower level again, go inside and slide down through the hole in the floor to your right, grabbing the seed along the way. You'll have to slide to the wall on your left to make it down safely.
- Get the five seeds on this floor, then head out the doorway that leads to the Royal Palace.
- Follow the platforms along this path. A few seeds will be out of reach along the way. The trick is to keep moving ahead until you reach the point where you need to walljump to get up to higher ground. Then, turn around and go back along the more elevated platforms.
- There should be four seeds to collect on the way back. The two that are stacked vertically against the wall on your right are particularly difficult to get. You need to magic jump from the wall that faces them while lining yourself up perfectly and jumping from as far from the edge as possible. When you reach the wall, climb up a step, then jump off.
- When you return to the Tower of Ormazd, turn left towards the path to the City of Light. Get the first seed outside, then jump to the plank and climb up the wall to the left for another seed. Continue to the wooden platform and slide down.
- Swing along the poles to get another seed, then climb up to the platform ahead. Turn back and run along the wall to your left to another set of poles.
- At the second pole, drop down to the wooden plank, then hang off the plank to get the two light seeds below. Use the wall to climb back up to the pole, then swing back to the Tower of Ormazd.
- Inside, turn left toward the path to the Tower of Ahriman. Get the seed outside, then jump across to the platform ahead.
- Drop down from this platform to a small tunnel with a seed inside. Getting out of here is tricky. Turn back towards the tower, then run as far to the edge as you can and magic jump to the wall. When you reach it and climb up a step, magic jump back to reach the platform.
- From here, leap to the columns on the right side. Jump to the platform for another seed, then slide down to another platform below.
- Turn around to face where you came from, and climb up the column on the right side. Take the slides back down towards the column for the final two seeds in this area.
- If you're following with us, you should teleport now to the City of Light and set your destination for Warrior's Fortress.

Queen's Tower: Light Seeds
- LIGHT SEEDS: 45
- Start with the three seeds on this platform. Go out the gate where you defeated The Warrior and slide down the wall to your right, grabbing the seed at the bottom.
- Jump across to the other wall and slide down. Grab the ring at the bottom and roofrun to the next wall. Jump across to the opposite wall and slide down again. Repeat this process when you get to the next fissure.
- Continue to work your way down these walls. At the bottom, before you go inside the tower, turn around to face away from the tower -- there are two Light Seeds on a distant wall. Climb up on the rail, then magic jump to the wall and back to reach them.
- Now, jump into the building. Grab the four light seeds inside this room, then hit the green Power Plate on the wall.
- Be on the lookout for seeds as you take this path back up the tower. You'll have the same pattern of obstacles to dodge as you did before.
- When you reach the top, grab the seed in the doorway by jumping between the two walls on either side of it. Then, go outside and turn right, wallrunning to the ring on the corner.
- Use the green Power Plates ahead to reach the roof, then go back down the same way you did before.
- At the bottom, jump over the gap to get inside the tower. Turn left and walk to the big closed door, then turn left again and hop on the railing that extends from the wall. Look over the edge, and you can see a ring extending from the wall below you. Gripfall down and press B to grab the ring. Use the rings underneath here to run across and swing yourself back up the other side.
- Face the doorway that leads outside and jump to the ledge below. Slide down here and activate the blue Power Plate when you get to the lower level, grabbing a bunch of seeds on the way.
- Jump into the center platform on this level for several more seeds, then head out the doorway that leads to toward the Tower of Ahriman.
- Magic jump to the fissure ahead, then jump to the one above it. Take the slides ahead, getting more seeds as you go, to a square platform.
- Turn left here and you'll see two Light Seeds across the way, slightly below you. Reaching them is sort of tricky. Jump to the fissure on the wall to the left of them, then press RT to drop down to a fissure slightly below it. Move right along this until you're inside the enclosure that holds the seeds. Wallrun to the right, jumping along each corner of the wall. At the last corner, magic jump and you'll reach a fissure under the platform where you started. Climb back up to safety.
- Go back to the fissure on the wall and move to the left, jump up to another fissure above, and keep moving left until you can wallrun and jump to the wooden slide next to you.
- Grab the seeds on your slide back. When you get back to Queen's Tower, go through the opposite doorway on this floor, which leads to the City of Light area.
- Leap to the column, then run along the wall. Follow this path until you reach a platform with an enemy on it. Defeat it with Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y.
- Run to the right along the wall attached to this platform for another seed. Jump from the column to the slide, to the next column. Before continuing to the next slide, make sure to grab the two seeds along the walls to your right -- the last two of the 45 in this area.
- Now, take the slide that leads back to Queen's Tower. When you reach the next platform, turn around again, making the City of Light your next objective.

Prince of Persia Warrior Boss Fight Walkthrough
- Mahalo Answers: How do I beat the Warrior in Prince of Persia?
-
Warrior's Fortress
- Starting at the City of Light teleport point, wallrun to the blue Power Plate in front of you to reach a platform. Climb up the fissure and go straight along the poles, beam and slides. The gate to Warrior's Fortress is just ahead.
- Once inside, head to the green Power Plate on the nearby wall. Blast off and shift to the right to reach the next plate. Shift right again from this plate, then back left to reach the blue Power Plate.
- You'll reach another green plate from here. Start moving to the right as soon as the platform starts curling around. A blue plate here will take you to a resting platform.
- Wallrun to the green Power Plate and run hard to the left when the platform starts shifting that way. Strafe to the left again after hitting the next green plate, then back right to hit another.
- The next couple of plates are easy. When you swing a far distance from a blue plate to reach another green one, shift left right away to reach the last blue Power Plate. This takes you to a platform for your showdown with The Warrior.
- Most of this edges of this arena are covered with corruption, but if you back straight up at the start of the fight, you'll reach a gap suitable for performing the same strategy as last time.
- Submit to his attacks when you're standing near this edge. If you're knocked to the edge, you'll have to hit X repeatedly to save yourself. If you're just knocked down, press the correct button when prompted. Either way, you'll turn the tables and have The Warrior on the edge.
- If The Warrior turns black, lead your combo with Y. If he turns blue, lead with X. In either case, you may have an opportunity for a quick strike while he's changing colors if you're close enough to him.
- When performing a combo, follow magic with X, Y, X. Follow a sword strike with Y, X, X.
- It's not over once you knock him off the edge. After The Warrior falls, the ground begins to shake. Be prepared to jump to a lower platform as you slide down. Once you reach the next platform, The Warrior rises again. And this time he's on fire.
- At this point, The Warrior is completely invulnerable to attacks. He'll deflect your sword and swat Elika away if you try using magic, so don't bother with either. Still, he's on his last legs, and ultimately the fire will destroy him.
- Simply defend yourself here. Deflect as many attacks as you can, and if you get knocked down, avoid his finishing moves by pressing the correct button when prompted.
- Gradually, The Hunter's energy will deplete to zero. If you're following along with us, you'll get not only the "Death of a Warrior King" Achievement and 25 Light Seeds, but you'll also get the "Saviour of the City of Light" Achievement.
- With Elika in your arms, make your way to the green Power Plate. Prince will put her down, so jump up to the plate and press Y to activate it.
- Run along the platform above. Be careful for chunks that fall away. Magic jump over them, then take the slides back to safety.
- After a brief dialogue between the Prince and Elika, it's time to teleport to the temple.

Darkness to Light
- Elika's father will appear for one last time. It seems the corruption has completely overtaken him. A battle ensues.
- He's a lot tougher this time than in previous battles, mostly because there's no killer strategy to beat him. He also regenerates health, making it important that you stay aggressive.
- The best method here is to deflect his attacks by pressing RT as he is winding up, then following with Y, X, Y, B, Y, X, Y, A, X, if you can get that far. Backing him into a wall will require you to press X repeatedly to get out of trouble.
- Be quick with your counterattacks, as he has a tendency to break up your combos.
- The most important thing of all is to save yourself when knocked down. Listen for the now-familiar screaming noise of impending doom and press the correct button when prompted. The last thing you want is for him to get a chunk of health back.
- If he turns black, lead with Y. If he's deep blue, start with X. And if Elika gets knocked down, press Y to revive her when she's near. Meanwhile, fend the King off with X, A, X, X.
- The Mourning King, once defeated, will jump from the ledge. This awakens Ahriman, and you'll have to escape along the walls to your right.
-
Temple
- Head up the temple stairs, and through the bright, shining doorway. Doing so will give you the Explorer Achievement.
- The area inside looks like the tutorials for your new powers. Use the blue Power Plate on the wall to your left, then run along the next wall to another blue plate.
- This takes you to a red Power Plate, then a green one with minor dodging. Take the red plates at the end of this path to another green plate, leading right to a yellow Power Plate.
- Dodge left, down, up during the first part of this flying segment, then down and left. Finally, dodge right and you'll reach a green Power Plate.
- When you turn at the second plate, veer left immediately, then come back right to hit the next green plate.
- Another yellow plate is ahead. When flying, dodge right. Then, dodge up at the wall that runs crosswise. Dodge up again shortly after that and you'll reach a wall.
- Be ready to jump from one corner of this wall to another, then hit B to grab the ring and run to the red Power Plate.
- Launch from here to another plate, then another wall with rings to run across. At the end, activate the blue Power Plate. This takes you to the Darkness to Light area.

Prince of Persia Ahriman Boss Fight Walkthrough
- Mahalo Answers: How do I beat the final boss in Prince of Persia?
- The goal here is to activate three Fertile Grounds while avoiding Ahriman's attacks. Run to the right, along the wall to the vines. It looks too far to make it, but you can.
- Stay on the circular plate as the corruption washes the walls. Then, wallrun from the vines to the fissures. When you're on the wall going towards the camera, run to the next fissure, which is difficult to see from your perspective.
- Continue to move to the right. When you reach the next circular plate, wait there again until the corruption recedes.
- Move down on the vines, then to the right. Keep moving to avoid Ahriman's fist. Wallrun to reach the platform holding the Fertile Ground and tap Y to activate it.
- Keep moving once again along the walls at a steady pace to avoid Ahriman's fist again. Reach the next metal plate and wait there until the corruption recedes.
- When you reach the next wall that extends toward the camera, wallrun and press B three times to run along the rings.
- At the next set of vines, move straight up and jump to the set above. Quickly climb to the metal plate to avoid the corruption.
- Now, move right again. Don't let up and you'll avoid Ahrimans punches. Keep going until you get to the next Fertile Ground, and tap Y to activate it.
- Keep going to the right once again. Get to the next metal plate to avoid the corruption. More of Ahriman's fists are on the way, so keep a steady pace.
- After you cross over a ring on the wall, look for a path up the next set of vines, then to the right to another metal plate. You'l have to get here with extreme efficiency to avoid the corruption.
- You'll go further to the right and reach another platform. The Fertile Ground is above, but you can't reach it. Keep going right to the ring on the wall and scramble to the metal plate.
- When the corruption washes away, go right to another platform.
- Start running. Jump over any gaps that suddenly appear in the floor. Be ready for magic jumps, followed by a wallrun to the next set of vines.
- Continue to the right. You'll see another metal plate. Waste no time getting there, as the corruption is coming.
- Wait until it recedes, then climb via the two rings to the platform on the right. Activate the Fertile Ground here.
- Use the Power Plate on the wall behind you and keep hitting Y to blast between the red Power Plates in the room.
- After several rounds of this, you'll fly right into Ahriman's mouth. Start tapping Y as fast as you can to release the light.
- This imprisons the ancient monster once again, giving you the "From Darkness...Light!" Achievement. Elika restores the land, then collapses.
