IGN review quote: It’s not the best game ever released on PC, PS3 or Xbox 360; it’s not even the best game released this year. And yet Prince of Persia is that rare game that has managed to tap into that part of me that would die defending Chrono Trigger or JSRF. It has its shortcomings, but I already sense that Prince of Persia will be one of the few games from this generation that I carry with me for the next decade.IGN: Prince of Persia Review

Cheat Code Central review quote: The flow and excitement of the gameplay as well as the dramatic visual style will get you hooked for hours to come. I doubt there will be many people who don't like it, as it's equally engaging for players and viewers sitting next to you.Cheat Code Central: Prince of Persia Review

Team Xbox review quote: Prince of Persia is a gorgeous piece of work that may just pull more people into gaming by being as fun and easy as it is beautiful.Team Xbox: Prince of Persia Review

  • Reinventing the Prince

After releasing a trilogy of Prince of Persia games over the past few years, Ubisoft decided to completely reinvent the franchise with Prince of Persia 2008. The latest game has an all new art style and storyline. The story revolves around a supernatural fight between light and dark that has spilled over into the physical world.

The Prince, himself, has also gone through a bit of a transformation, becoming a much more mysterious figure than he has been in the past. The game's makers said they drew inspiration for the Prince from a number of sources, including Spider-Man, Han Solo and Indiana Jones. They said they were basically going for a complicated hero, someone who had a good heart, but wasn't necessarily setting out to save the world.GameTrailers: Prince of Persia The Hero Factor
