There are 1,001 collectible Light Seeds in 2008's Prince of Persia for the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC. Light Seeds are used as a form of currency to access magic powers in the game. There are ten achievements and trophies that can be unlocked by collecting the Light Seeds throughout the game.
Light Seeds

After healing an area in the Prince of Persia game world, the player can collect Light Seeds to unlock magic, which is necessary to activate special power plates throughout the level. These power plates allow the player to perform special abilities, such as rebound or dash. Collecting Light Seeds is almost entirely optional. Besides purchasing the final magic power for 540 Light Seeds, Prince of Persia producer Ben Mattes stated in an interview that collecting the rest is not necessary to finish the game.
