Charles, Prince of Wales is the eldest son of Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh. He is the heir apparent to the Commonwealth Realms. He is also the Duke of Rothesay in Scotland and the Duke of Cornwall. Instead of being tutored in the palace, Charles was put into the school system, beginning at Hill House School, then moving on to Cheam School. In 1967, Charles attended Cambridge University for archaeology and Trinity College for anthropology. He graduated from Trinity College in 1970. In 1996, Princess Diana and Prince Charles dissolved their marriage, a year before Diana was killed in a car crash in Paris. In 2005, the prince married Camilla Parker-Bowles. In December of 2010, the Prince and Mrs. Parker-Bowles were driving to a performance at the London Palladium when there car was attacked by rioters. Charles and Camilla remained unharmed. He married Diana Frances Spencer in 1981 and together they bore two sons, Prince William and Prince Harry. They separated in 1992 then divorced in 1996 amid much public scandal. Princess Diana admitted to having an affair with James Hewitt, and she alleged that Prince Charles had an affair with Tiggy Legge-Bourke and Camilla Parker-Bowles. After completing a 6 week course at Royal Naval College, Dartmouth, Prince Charles qualified as a helicopter pilot and figher pilot. He served 5 years in the Royal Navy.
