Prefuse 73 is the solo project of music artist Scott Herren, an American-born music producer currently based in Barcelona, Spain. Herren releases music that is heavily influenced by both hip hop and electronic. He and his partners have also created their own record label, Eastern Developments Music dedicated to distributing music that fits in with their eclectic tastes. Musical Style
Prefuse 73's material is electronically-produced music which prominently features heavily edited samples. It is overwhelmingly influenced by—but not solely restricted to—hip-hop, often including samples from both mainstream and underground artists. His style of music is sometimes referred to as Intelligent Dance Music, or IDM.
