Preditors and Editors

  • Preditors and Editors since it started in 1997 has become a leader in the publishing industry for its resources for writers. Created by David Kuzminski to offer writers a place for publication outlets, warnings and scam information, information and practical advice about the career of writing.
  • History

Founded in 1997 by David Kuzminski, Preditors and Editors is intended to be a simple compendium for writers, game designers, composers and artists to network.

"Preditors" in the name Preditors and Editors is a play on words. It is intended to remind writers that some publishers and services are not to be trusted.

Using a simple web interface, Preditors and Editors feels it allows their site to be accessible regardless of browser used. Their main goal is to provide writers of all genres with information and contacts for the purpose of seeking publication of their work. Writers also include artists, composers and game designers, because they too face some of the same challenges in the arts and entertainment industry.

Preditors and Editors also list known scams on their site. It is their request and hope that writers share knowledge concerning known predators with them so they can make a note next to their entries. Preditors and Editors, once they have confirmed a scam or predator behavior, will not remove those notations because they believe, by doing so, the scammer would have "...a license to steal once more by granting them anonymity and freedom to move among other unlisted publishers, agents and editing services"http://www.anotherealm.com/prededitors/pubabout.htm.
