Praja Rajyam

Indian actor Chiranjeevi unveiled his new political party, Praja Rajyam, or "People's Party," on August 26, 2008. As many as one million people turned out for a massive rally in the town of Tirupati, India, as Chiranjeevi officially began his career in politics. Chiranjeevi said he hoped the Praja Rajyam party would help alleviate poverty in the state of Andhra Pradesh.
