  • A potato peeler is a kitchen utensil designed with a blade to peel the skin from potatoes as well as other vegetables.
  • Use

Always wash the potato before peeling, to get rid of all the dirt.

When peeling a potato hold it in one hand and with the other hand angle the peeler so that one of the inner blades catches the potato skin. Apply an even force as you glide the peeler across the potato.

If you don't have a peeler a knife can be used as well. Either utensil you choose, always work with the blade moving away from you.

Potato skins have plenty of nutrients; save them to bake or make a soup from.
