Portal is a single player only, action, first-person shooter puzzle-based video game and is part of The Orange Box compilation. In Portal, the only weapon you have is a "Portal Device" in which you use to solve the many well designed puzzles throughout the game.
Gameplay
Players assume the role of "Chell", being challenged through the Portal room using her weapon, the portal device. Players must use momentum and strategies to complete the needed tasks as Chell navigates through the "Enrichment Center" for "Aperture Science Laboratories".
Players
- Chell is a non-speaking character who is only named in the credits.
- GLaDOS (Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System) is a computer artificial intelligence (AI) that monitors and directs the player.
