Poppy Montgomery is an Australian actress. Having moved to Los Angeles at age 18 to be with her then boyfriend, she has appeared in over 25 films and television shows. Currently, she portrays FBI agent Samantha Spade in the CBS television drama Without a Trace.

Montgomery describes her parents as "big hippies". This may explain not only her name (Poppy Petal), but also that of her four sisters: Rosie Thorn, Daisy Yellow, Lily Belle, and Marigold Sun. Her brother's name is Jethro Tull, named after the band.Other Notable Roles
Montgomery has also appeared as Marilyn Monroe in the TV-movie Blonde. She's also appeared in the television shows NYPD Blue, Party of Five, and Relativity, as well as the films Dead Man on Campus and The Other Sister. In December of 2007, she took on maybe her most important role of all: she became a mother to a baby boy named Jackson.
