Pop Idol was a reality show which ran on Britain's ITV network. It first aired on October 5, 2001, and lasted until December 20, 2003. Contestants competed for the chance at becoming the next pop singer and were judged by Simon Cowell, Pete Waterman, Nicki Chapman and Neil Fox. Each week, the contestant with the lowest number of viewer votes was eliminated.
