Fast Facts:
Sound
The band's debut album, Kamehameha Ponytail Album, is an intense, explosive 26 minutes of fast guitar riffs and loud, aggressive (and frequently nonsensical) vocal outbursts, earning the band comparisons with Deerhoof. The band cites influences as far-reaching as art-rock, surf rock, ska and Indian war chanting.
Ponytail's second album, Ice Cream Social, is somewhat more restrained and focused, and includes material the band previewed at their breakthrough performance at South by Southwest (SXSW).
